Thinking
It was a 73 or 74, Brew.
And with that 351, I've seen them actually sell for a grand.... just how mine sits. The roller block 351 was only made for about 3.5 years, so they are scarce. IIRC, the OBS Lightning ran flat tappet even - I think AK was the one that clued me in on that tidbit.
The heads on that 351 are so restrained, it's not funny. Those are the same heads that came on my Mustang (E7TE = 87 Truck casting), and they were so restrictive for a 302. Just swapping to the 98-01 Explorer heads nets a 30 hp gain.

Did you see or remember that old tube video, it's old now, - but the guy had a 302 in a little ranger with some heads or head work, but kept it NA. The guy was racing everybody, no one could touch him. Sort of a one of kind video back then. Looked like a normal truck, but it hauled ***...fast as hell. Thought you may have seen it since you had ranger about the same time it was out.
Yep, it's all about flow.

Had some power back then. We lived on a dirt road, I got in a bit of trouble once for leaving long deep trenches in the road with that truck. Cops followed the trenches right to the house lol.
Hahahaha yeh I'm starting to feel like that too 2100. Every time there is an update this thing is doing something different. It's about to get real around here pretty quickly.
If you're interested, this is one of my favorite Ranger 302 builds I've seen. Really good guy too... haven't talked to him in a while, I oughta message him.

Yea, my parents old place was a dirt bike hang-out for years. Where everyone parked to do some riding....there was always trenches in the road lol.
I'll most likley have a re-kindled interest when I get around to finding an old Bronc to build.
Yeah, that sounds familiar.
