Same thing here 2100. I have to park this as close as I can to the wall to prevent door dings. Another reason I put power steering back in....

Yeah Brew... I've been watching for a 351 for a while now, so I pounced on this when I saw it. By the way, he told me it was a 95 - but this is actually a 96, I found.... the VC says it is in compliance for the 1996 model year.

This is about the same thing I've got, but it has fewer miles... 6 times the price though.

I was just strolling through my pics, and realized I took some pics of old trucks I was going to show you all..... Plus, my high school Buddy's 68 Lincoln and a Rat Rod with TONS of work done to it. The guy looking in the Rat Rod is my Buddy that builds transmissions. We've been talking AOD/4R70W's again for the Stang. OHHH, and the black Pontiac next to my Buddy's Lincoln is a guy I work with. Pretty bad azz little car. It's got a Chev 305 in it with a 4L60E.

That white OBS F-Series belonged to a guy I used to go see all the time that worked at the local billiards. Dude was one hell of a cook. Pretty sure he's passed on now.... he wasn't in good shape back 20 years ago. Really, really nice truck though.

What's with the price, is it worth that much ? Seems up there.

Actually when you first mentioned that 360 on the stand, the first thing that came to mind was the old truck my father use to have, an old 75 Ford short bed step side, 360 3 in the tree lol. He ended putting a 390 in that truck...halled ****, but went through transmissions lol.

It was a 73 or 74, Brew.

And with that 351, I've seen them actually sell for a grand.... just how mine sits. The roller block 351 was only made for about 3.5 years, so they are scarce. IIRC, the OBS Lightning ran flat tappet even - I think AK was the one that clued me in on that tidbit.

The heads on that 351 are so restrained, it's not funny. Those are the same heads that came on my Mustang (E7TE = 87 Truck casting), and they were so restrictive for a 302. Just swapping to the 98-01 Explorer heads nets a 30 hp gain.

That Ford 360 was a good motor.... I think the 390 is the same motor, stroked as I recall.

These are the figures on these motors. Not exactly power houses from the factory. Lots left to give. The drop in HP from 92 to 93 was a change in how Ford started rating HP. There were no changes to the motor at all. Same thing happened between the 92 and 93 Mustang. EDIT: Here's a pic instead.... POS won't format right for me....
