Well, this morning started off good. I was feeling good, answering some questions, when all of a sudden, bamm, right back to being sick. This is getting old, and quickly. I thought I beat it yesterday evening, and again this morning. After 2 hours being up, I feel like crap again. Oh well, back to bed for the day. Nothing gets done on days like this. LOL

I hope every one had a great 4th of July and great weekend.

Welp odometer has been not coming on every few times I drive the truck. Guess it's time to reflow the solder joints.

Also realized it wasn't the camper shell that made it impossible to see out of the back of the truck but the fact that I have tinted rear window and the camper shell blocks most light so it's like looking out my window at night. Opened the rear slider and it was clear as day lol. The tinting on the camper shell seems different. Quite dark on the outside but way easier to see thru on the inside.... maybe it's just in my head

I was playing online tonight and ran across a take off bumper from an 03 Flareside with no miles. It was bought at the local dealer, and the guy who bought it bought a roll pan to replace the bumper. It's been sitting on a shelf for the past 16 years he said. I bought it for $50. I had to do it. Mine still has the one dent that came with it, so this will finish the back.

Nice find! One day maybe I'll actually start looking seriously for painted (or paint-able) bumpers for mine. The Plasti-Dip On my front one is starting to show some pulling in a couple of spots.

Bear, I hope your Father gets better soon.... real soon!

Although I was off all week last week, I still had a nice share of crap.

But, my 9 days is up, so back to kitchen!

AK... I have a question about 3V's for you, and hopefully you know....

So, we're probably just going to put a new motor in this 2004/2005 (can't remember which). He says the wrecking yards tell him that only 2004-2006 motors will work in it. Do you know why? Maybe a sensor difference? Just wondering if it's something we could just take from the old motor and use, like a sensor in the intake, etc. Does that make sense?

2004-2006 is correct on the reman long blocks also. There are two used in those years depending on casting number.

The 04-05 is 4C3Z-6006-EARM and the 5L3Z-6006-BRM is the Ford long block for 2005=2006. There is split year in 2005 according to Ford numbering. You will need the correct number of your block to get the right engine supposedly.

The 07 5.4 is a 5 also, but a different rebuild number from Ford 8L3Z-6006-BARM which fits 07-08 only by application.

It looks like it's not a fitment problem, but a cam change, that will throw chit off without a reflash. Hmm
