Great pic AK! I'm definitely bringing my nice camera on this trip. Coworker found a vrbo house on the water so we are staying there over a hotel. It apparently has an island you can walk out to on low tide. I've seen videos of the crazy tides Alaska pulls in and out. Looking forward to getting my first taste of Alaska!
Edit* btw what makes your Heat "hotter"? I'm from Indiana so 95°+ with 80%+ humidity with heat indexes well into the 110°s is the norm for July-August.
When I was in Utah hiking, 95 felt like a cool summer night to me lol. Loved not having humidity although I had to stay on top of drinking water. In Indiana you remember to drink water when you end up wearing it all.

I don't know if I mentioned anywhere about my A/C going "poof" on me last Friday? Since it only had 10,500ish miles on it since Big O charged me 1200 dollars to fix it, I took it back there. Apparently there's a high pressure valve that blew on my system, which evacuated the 134A and some of the PAG oil. I shut it off immediately.... so nothing would get damaged. Anyway, I took it back yesterday morning and they said it was because my fan clutch wasn't working... blah blah. I told him no way would my fan clutch not working cause it to gain 400 psi in a matter of 1 minute, especially when the truck was cold. So he pulled the orifice tube and found the orifice tube was clean plugged with $4!t from the old compressor.... the real cause of the over pressurized system. They replaced the condenser, because this was the source of the crap in the system.... and charged it for nothing. A/C is back in business - blowing 40 - 45 degree air.

Man, - when I read a AC post now, I get this itch to fix the 98...or at least figure out why it all the sudden just quit working. Unfortunately, that's as far as it goes. That truck is so back burner now, and again lol.
Yeah.. I woulda put this one on the burner too, but I needed these guys to fix their mistake. Otherwise, had I not already paid for it 2 years ago when it was my DD, it would be sitting.
