What's the mystery plug? The trailer I rented had a hand held controller for the brakes if you didn't have electric brakes... just had to make sure the 7pin connect for brakes had power.... me only having a few minutes to fool with it bought the relay for under the hood but never got power to the 7pin that I needed. Ended up not using their hand held brake controller and just drove without it. Had zero issues braking. Was actually better braking than when I hauled my JD model B home. But it would've been nice to have them if I needed them.
The mystery plug is under the dash... just to the right of the OBDII plug, as I recall. I've seen it in there several times. It's brown IIRC.
This is the controller I bought. It has the direct swap plug included. It says it's all compatible too....
So, I mentioned in another thread that my Buddy called me this afternoon and asked if I was going to be home because he had bought me a parts washer.... I think he's pretty serious about me working for him. He asked me if I'd come work for him part time, while also learning to build, for 20 an hour. Not too bad for a part time job.... and learning at the same time is worth the world to me. Also went over to the O'Reilly by me and set the account up here for the business. For some reason, O'Reilly accounts are set up by store... pretty stupid if you ask me.

Here's the washer....
Ah gotcha
Yeah the brake controller I had for the trailer was an all in one system. It paired with the box on the trailer so it just plugged into the cig lighter and the e brake trailer system plugged in with the 7pin connector and that's where I needed my power going. I wouldn't/didn't need that plug.
Good job on both man, like that little box (right corner) for nuts, bolts, and small stuff on the parts washer. Might be good for soaking insoles and flushing socks as well.
Nothing wrong with side jobs...specially the cash ones lol.
My bad... it is to the LEFT of the OBDII connector. Sure looks to me like this used to have a brake controller in it because there are two holes in the dash piece. Wish he woulda left the SOB in there. Or, maybe it was a HAM radio mount.... there are also antenna holes under the hood.
SPEAKING of Mystery plugs...WTH is this one just below the fuse panel? Never noticed this one before.

Hope everything works out white.
Yeah... cash jobs are always good
LOL... if you want me to clean your shoes, send 'em out Brew! I'll get them shining!
That plug Whitey is for the ABS check system, according to my component finder. I think we covered this one other time also, and some one said ti was for the power pedals, but 97 didn't have that option that I know of.

Lol, thanks, I'd be too embarrassed...probably wipe a hole in them I expect. My RW's are all sole, plenty of traction left, but the leather won't even take oil anymore. The Rockys look good, but they are about slicks already. If I could get RW soles on Rockys I'd save a few bucks. I haven't searched for a better brand of boot in awhile, time to step up I guess. ha ha.
