AK, I'm pretty sure there won't be another truck out there even remotely close to Red when you are finished.

Thanks fellers- the drivers seat has a replacement cover- the rest is factory ( it had about a 1in. bare spot in the seam, and i was afraid it would bust all the way open)-
no, its not t/p- although in pinch, it could be! ( rrruufff!)-
i use something called super clean (i think)- in a purple spray bottle, then follow up with maguires gold class leather cleaner/conditioner in the pump bottle.

Hey Brew... someone asked Ford Tech Makuloco about the 6.2 engine.... and he said:

If this guy hasn't had to touch one of them yet, that shows something. He is constantly working on 3V's.

Well, cleaned out the garage, got the compressor leveled, mounted the motor and the pump, man that stuff is heavy. The pump is anyway, had to lift it 5' in the air, awkward as hell, getting too old for this crap, - could of used a laborer lol.

Regardless, decided to wait. Although I could get the truck in there, it's too tight, barely deep enough. She has built in shelving units at the back wall, and they are in use, not worth the trouble dismantling....not today anyway lol. It's 19' deep as it is, -roughly measured the truck length, pretty close to the same. Heated garage is nice. What good is it if you can't get around the vehicle ? I have wheel dolly's, could push the truck to one side. Still, jacking would be a PITA soooo.

Yea, wait for warmer weather...mean time finish the compressor. The compressor is 220, have to do the electrical then bolt it to the concrete floor. Have to move more tools over here, - hell, they'll all be over there before I know it lol.

It looked like Bears picture outside this morning, -snow and just a frigid 29*....some spring! Looks like I'll be waiting for the 12th, we are suppose to be in the 60's for once.

__________

Curious to see how those interior modifications look AK...one of a kind for sure.

Bear, -you back to normal yet, - or better than normal I hope lol ? Btw, that trucks a beauty!

Yea, I wish he would do a review on the engine, but that pretty much sums it up don't it lol. Hands down, the 6two would be eezzy peezzy to maintain and get some great miles out of...for my needs anyway. A Diesel would of been nice, but they like to get driven, don't like to sit, more to stay on top of, pricey to purchase and maintain. Got away from the diesel finally, guess what stuck in my mind was when a purchased a 99 350 7.3 to begin a little side business (only lasted about year, totaled it on the turn pike). But it was how effortlessly I was able to pull a car hauler with the thing through the mountains of PA that gave me a tickle. Anyway, the accident freaked me out, could of hurt some one or worse. That thought alone did that idea in. Anyway, still really liked that truck, someday... Yea too much against. Getting wiser about things sucks sometimes lol. Besides, the 6.2 has earned a good rep and fits to well with what I need in a truck. Hell, they can even be supercharged ...right lol.

Thanks Brew!- the knee(s) are a gift from above- its hard to describe how it feels to be able to walk without pain!- its a gift!!- ol’ blue has a little cancer underneath, but generally is in pretty good shape.
I got 16.1 mpg ( using the fill up/ mile check method) on the Pa. trip- im not ashamed at that.

Thanks JP. I just want something that I'm going to keep., so why not make it mine, all the way? I don't have much more to do, other a few little changes to the interior, and the booster. I'm doing timing chains, just because I have them, and they are a bit noisy at times. Might as well do it all, then drive the wheels off it. LOL

Guys, who has the one good quick link to the GOTT's mod? I had the good one we've all posted, but somewhere it got deleted or moved. Anyways, with the thousands of videos on this, none are good anymore. I'm sure Whitey or Brew or JP have a quick link I can help a guy out with. Right now, looking is like being in a school of fish. I can't find my Dora. Too many to find the one we all have posted or used. TIA.

Here's a page w/Gotts, my handwork. If you go back a page, shows it installed and how to make it 100% cold air...like the Gotts plus mod lol.

https://www.f150forum.com/f6/engine-...9/#post4628445

The difference is , this one extends through the cavity vs into it. Most stop a little past inner cavity opening. That's good as well and where Ford ended it, BUT, the inner cavity also channels some residual engine heat but most of all, a conduit directly to the radiator. Extending a little further avoids all that...true cold air, 0 heat soak.

Brew....thanks for the link. I forwarded it to him. I tried to explain, but you know how some people are so ****, that you can't explain anything that they understand. LOL Anyways it's sent and I appreciate it. At least with pictures, he can only blame himself if he messes it up. LOL
