It's a Corsair, made by Rheem. No pics of the furnace with me. It's the original from 1998 though.

My old house had a cracked manifold, and I got a new furnace through the home warranty on that.

How are you guys going about removing the torsion keys? I can't find a tool for rent anywhere.

Drill......When I did it on a buddy's truck, I used an air hammer/chisel and some penetrating oil overnight. Of course it wasn't that rusty, being up here, but I can surely see how that would be a real biatch to remove if it was. Of course you could just destroy the crossmember edge and then drive it out if you were replacing the member. Using a damn hammer and punch takes way too much effort.

I was more wondering how to relieve the pressure on the keys. Do you just take the bolt out?

Damn Whitey.....that's an easy one. The sensor is right in the open, and very easy to access with a screwdriver.

yep, that'll do it. Just mark where they were for reinstallation.

The next week is going to be interesting here. Currently it is around 40 degrees and will be most of the week. It is going to be well above freezing in North Pole too. This is starting to be like 2000 for weather. No snow, lots of rain, and warm temps. I can go with that. lol

Every time I turn around it is something new with the Highboy. Currently up to I think something is wrong with the firing order or timing... which should not be an issue because it was running fine before I changed oil pan gasket and now is when I am having issues. I have a video if anyone wants to listen to it and see if they can diagnose it.

Post the video 2100.

AK, I've got someone coming that the warranty company is sending over tomorrow. It keeps running for a bit then I have to reset it by turning the power off. Hopefully I get some resolve out if this.

Here is the link. I am confused because it ran when I dropped the oil pan... few months later I finally get the pan back in and I am here now. It sounds like a firing order or timing issue but everything was good when I tried last. The only thing I have changed in the last couple of days were the distributor innards. I made sure to gap the points when the hide side of the lobe was touching the point.
