Now that I'm back from Fairbanks/North Pole, I thought I throw a couple pictures of the roads and Mt Denali from the highway.

If you notice, I was running about 65 at the time of the picture but look at the highway. This is the main highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. A bit of snow that morning I decided to go home. Glad I chose that day. The next day it showed worse in the passes.

The one picture shows the sky over Fairbanks' valley area. Note how much smoke is stored by all the wood burning up there. It was hell on my sinus's the first day. I adapted with a lot of Benedryl. lol

Hey Bear.....no i want to send you some Xmas snow. You guys can use it. LOL. Hope the knee goes well on the 27th.

It's raining today. Everything has turned into a skating rink. I'm glad that I put that extra 200# in the bed of Blue. He get's around much better now.

I forgot to add that the shell is now back on Blue. It adds a couple hundred more punds to the rear axle. Much better in the snow that way.

Whitey.....I cut a wire while working on the radio reset, so I brought it home and fixed it. I sure didn't see that little bugger, but found it rather quickly. I fixed it the next morning after getting home. I even put the shell back on. looks much better now. lol

Been in the 30's the past 4 or 5 days. Raining and making things very slippery. Other than that, typical Alaska winter. LOL. We had 3 weeks of cold weather in November, but now it's warm and messy. Go figure. Alaska....rain in December. Hmmm.

When I cut the dash back panel to install the Double Din, it must of cut the wire some, and when I pulled on the harness, it separated fully. Not a big thing to fix, just didn't have the tools where I was in North Pole to fix it there.

I woke up to 19 degrees this morning. Sitting at a balmy 30 degrees right now. When I am at now is typically about 5 degrees cooler than SLC, as it is a little higher in altitude (825 feet). That also translates to more snow.

The furnace kicked the bucket last night too. So, I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

Thermocouple? Bad fan motor? Crack the burner pot. Hopefully it is the couple and nothing more. Good luck.

It is the flame sensor. It ignites, and when the igniter goes out, it kills the gas. 99% sure it's the flame (presence) sensor.

Sooo... give me some advice. I have a home warranty that came with the house. Do I call someone and pay the service charge.... and hope they replace the entire furnace? Or just fix it. It's a 20 dollar part.

Flame presence sensor (thermocoupler). Sounds right. If it is a newer style it might be the DIS style sensor. What furnace you got? Pic of the open front without the cover?

Heat is a big thing here in Alaska. Almost anyone here over 50 can rebuild a furnace. Man or Woman LOL
