Thinking
No no lol, common white, -you have to grease the plug w/COP's. You can grease boots, better to grease the plugs so you don't contaminate the connection. That way they seal and remain lubbed up. Otherwise they don't mount all the way, (causes a poor connection) and they can be a mother to get off the next time. The boot can actually fold inside the chamber. You haven't realized that one yet ? Greasing is a must.

Yea coils don't come per-greased from the factory. Hell yea, that grease will stay there until you change them. Keep them sealed water/coolant won't cut it. Well, coolant might after a long period of time. Kind of doubt coolant could remain there long enough though. Before realizing there's a problem anyway.
But you have to use a dielectric that won't solidify, one that retains it's composer in a heated situation.
It's a must though, for a few good reasons that have to do with longevity and R&R. Never had a coil go bad or deal with one stuck on the plug (in the truck anyway). I've swapped mine out due to age for the most part. Well, I blew the top off #4 and fried 3 others welding on the truck, lost my PCM as well. Other than that, not a problem.
Surprised you didn't know this I guess.
