That's a great idea 2100, but you wouldn't be able to get a homestead of that size. I'm not even sure if they are allowing homesteading right now. The biggest ones were in Delta and Palmer. If you could even get one now, it would no larger than maybe 140 acres. A damn acre of land is 10k or better even 100 miles from Anchorage. You can find some areas where they are selling their area. There is one with 300 acres, but is close to 500k. What a rip, lol. A lady I'm dating (off and on) has a place a Houston (AK), that is 3/4 acre and barn style house. That damn thing, 65 miles out of Anchorage is selling for 300k and has 3 looking right now. WHY is my question?
It's funny, but the land in Anchorage is worth as much bare as it is with a house on it in a lot of cases. Sometimes it is worth more bare. Less to remove and clean up after. A guy just sold 3 acres in an area just out of the center point of town, and it went for 900k. It was bare land. It's just crazy what land in my area is bringing, undeveloped.

ideally tho I’d be one of those off the grid people, I’d like to be in remote Alaska where it’s a couple days by sled dog or bush plane to get there, so I wouldn’t really need all the land to be in my name, but I’d like a few thousand acres between me and most of civilization. The wife would argue we need at least a couple of neighbors. As it is we are looking to start with 10acres in/near our hometown for our cattle and increase as we need/want. The city life with cubicles is killing me, but at least now when I’m not traveling for work I work from home. This guy keeps me company tho, looking to get a scooter for scooterjoring or a sled if we can get a good winter here.
Ps that’s some crazy pricing for land up there
LOL.... I also watch Alaska State Troopers. I like it a lot better than that new Live Cops show (can't recall the actual name). AK, I despise a thief. I really need to get some alarms on my F150 and the Yaris. I had some packages stolen off my front porch a couple weeks ago, and that is why I bought the camera system.
As far as the compressor is concerned, I was thinking I want to do copper in between the two, but for ease of use (and being able to relocate it), I may just use some of my Goodyear 1/2" hose if that is enough. I also don't know if I should have a pressure relief valve on each tank? I'm guessing probably so.

Great price????? That is just for 2.1 acres of land. Nothing else. About 92000 square feet only. Worse part of all this is that area, 2 or 3 years ago, flooded when the ice backed up on the creeks in the area. There is no way in hell I would buy land in that basin area. There is some really nice higher ground in that same area, and those owners were selling it for around 28-32k an acre. That was quite a bit better than this guy. Wow is all i can say.
White.....I don't think you need a pop valve for the second tank. The first tank is the supply and it has the one already, so the second is nothing for a holding tank. The press is built in the first and carried over to the second. Also, try and use a bigger hose between the two tanks. I use the big industrial Milton's as an out with a 3/4 inch, 6 foot line with couplings. I have females on both tanks to take the hose which as the male ends. That way if I pull the hose, the tanks will retain their pressure. Otherwise they empty when you remove the line. It keeps the air whooshing noises to a minimum. lol
