Yeah just like the not having the logos on the side of my truck. Huge holes there and 100$ later (Heritage edition logos.) Not important, doesn't make the car run better, but bugs the ever living #$@#$ out of you.
We really do have some great places to off road here. Going out to Delle, you passed several places too, LOL. Delle is mostly a place to stop and **** on the way to Wendover. Did you see the "T" on the mountain? I live right below the T.
Where in West Valley is it that you are working?
EDIT: The only pic I have of said "T" from my driveway, and it's pretty blurry.... sorry.
I didn’t see the T, but then again I wasn’t quite looking for it lol. I’m working off of 700s and 1300 I believe, not 100% sure in that one but it’s right off of 700 drilling Geothermal for a fire station they’re building.
I want to check out a few more places before the wife heads home but I’m going to have to do a set of pads on the front before she leaves. I forgot to have her grab my jack stands before she left so I’ll prob have to buy a set of those too lol.
Drill.....looks like you could go for miles and miles more before you found anything out there. Looks dry, but fun to go on.
Whitey....those mountains look nice in the background. On the topic of the Escapes, you have them down now. I'm not sure on working on them, as I've never had one to repair. I've touched many models, but never an Escape. Weird, when I think back about that.
Ya the salt flats are pretty cool to see, not sure I would want to drive across them with my rust free truck lol. Would be fun to rip a couple doughnuts though.
Whitey.,....I'm sure that you realize that the Exploder's also have the press in bearing and hub assemblies. What a freaking pain to do. Take it off, press it out, press in the new bearing, then press in the hub, reinstall on vehicle. It's too much. This is why the ones like the 150's are so much easier to do. I have plenty of Exploder experience, just not the Escapes.
Oh, I did lie. I forgot my friends wife had a pale green 3.0 2004 that I changed rear brake pads on. He was a car flipper, so it was one I forgot about him having.
Anybody know how to stop this squeaking from the amp? I put two sheet metal screws in cz the double sided 3M tape wasn’t holding. But now it’s god awful
Throw some rubber grommets between the amp and the sheet metal.
What amp is that, BTW? Looks old school.

What year? My 1st gen had old school bearing with the races in the rotor. My 2nd gen had the same style as our F150's.... three bolts holding it in.
Hey, JB,- i think you should make a sticky on "more power"!!- call it the Book of Brew- A horsepower Bible!!-all these guys wanting cheap horsepower could just read it chapter and verse, and realize that its a truck engine after all!
Oh, then the better gas mileage sticky!!!

HP BUG
It's a phase people go through, that HP bug can be ruthless. Some sell everything they can and borrow the rest to satisfy that bugs fury. Some use a good chunk of life savings eventually accomplishing the goal. Everybody that I've witnessed who went though it and somewhat succeed had fun with the vehicle for what seems like a very short time. The expense never stops and continues to empty your wallet. I have to say most can't support it and perhaps others tire from the expense. Some may have even passed from a severe blow to the head from the wifes rolling pin. You need resources that you can **** away without repercussion. Of course if that were the case, why would you be reading THIS ?
However there is a way to keep it modest and reliable. It'll still cost yuh a little bit. That's to just opt with a lightning power plant and be done with it. It's the best option IMO to get through it. These are excellent engines from Ford when not continuously abused. Since this configuration has the ability for lasting benefits that actually incorporates USABLE HP, it's really the way to go. The benefit I'm referring to is that, the factory original blown 5four can tow with much less effort than it's NA little brother. This makes it usable and can be very easy on the engine when operated correctly.
How am I doin, think it'll sell? Title this small chapter - "The BUG"

2002 and up on the Ploder's. They did the rears as a press fit, and it was an absolute pain. The fronts are like our GEN 10's.
Brew,,,,,I was like that with my FE engines. I had some fast Fords, but after a while, I had to go to the Windsors. The FE's were too expensive for parts vs the Windsors. I played with the Clevelands until 72, then went back to the SBF's.
I built a 347 about 4 years ago, and a 393 two years ago. That 347 is still in the Bronco. The 393 is now on a stand. Dude wrecked the Torino it was in. It left the highway at over 85, in a 35mph curve. They had to cut the front end off to get the motor out. It looked liked a ball of aluminum foil when it came to rest. Surprisingly the motor only had the radiator against the fan. It never touched the crank or the block. The car just sort of cocooned itself around the motor.
