I'm really liking that f250. I think they want 17500 for it and I'm just trying to find reasons why I don't need it. Lol
It's nice and a few years ago I'd be all over that, but I've made up my mind my next truck will need to have 4 full doors

On Saturday I ditched my ceramic pads in favor of some Wagner Quiet Stop's. Much much better pads. The ceramics kept fading on me when it's hotter outside.... and seeing as how we've had several 100+ degree days lately, it was getting annoying.

While I was in there, I noticed the passenger side sway bar end link had snapped. I noticed it's been handling kind of wonky lately. I put some Moog Problem Solvers on it... and MAN o' MAN, was that drivers side a pain in my butt to get off. I was trying to cut it with my Sawzall, which happened to have a very dull blade. Too lazy to drive 5 or 6 miles to Lowes, I popped a brand new hacksaw blade out, and cut it to the length of the Sawzall blade. LOL... it mounted right in, and cut like butter. Sooooo.... my free tip of the day is that a hacksaw blade.... if trimmed properly, will work in a Sawzall.

Ok, I'll bite Whitey. What the hell are you working on. Are you working on the 97? That looks it looks like. That doesn't look like it's the Escape.

I have the same sentiment. I need to think about the family I'll be hauling in the next few years I reckon.

Ya hit the nail on the head for me lol. Kids will be coming sooner not later. The scab was good when it was just me or me+mrs but as I'm usually the driver, hauling friends/family/huskies that back seat gets small in a hurry. 2014+ has some crazy large back seats... at least when you're used to reg cabs and scabs. I haven't quite decided on what gen I'm going with but it will most likely be a f(2/3)50 crewcab.

Yeah... you got it AK, this was the F150. It feels better now.

That one in the pic sheared right off from rust. These new Moog's are a much better design.

EDIT: This is the difference on the Problem Solver links. I really like the barrel nut.

JP and FG2100, amazingly, when I raised my back seat about 1.5" my daughter says it is much better back there. My daughter is about 5' 6", so she's as tall as some adults. I'll get a Screw next go around, but I am going to wear out this 97 before I move on. And as stout as it is, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Interesting, maybe that 1.5" gives you the knee room that's lacking? May look into it for this truck. Hopefully if things go right I will keep this truck when I upgrade, then I'll have a truck for hunting and poor weather.

Without me even saying that I'd raised it, she told me "I fit better back here now". I can actually sit back there now.... and I couldn't before. But I've lost 230 pounds since I bought the thing, and that is a BIG factor, LOL. I am 6' 3", so it's not anything I'd want to go across the country doing, but it's OK for around town.

Well, today is the final day of the first year of this thread. It was started July 13, 2016. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this. It's been a fun year. Lil Red is almost complete, other than a new paint job, so it's been a great year for the lil truck.

Thanks everyone. It was fun trying to bring something back from the dead (sort of).
