You guys are killing me with the home talk, lol. My wife's got me doing at least 5 major projects right now. I find myself saying, "Don't worry babe, I'll figure it out." smdh I need to learn to say, Nope, don't know how to do that, lets hire a guy." lol With Perfect Chip & Joanna Gains along and my wife's Pintrest, I'll never get another Truck project done again.
Mind you, the first floor half bath is still torn apart and the cabinets have no doors..
I came home to this last week. She tossed out the media center, end tables, a bunch of other stuff and just left everything on the floor. She said, "Can you build a new entertainment center, move the TV, build some end tables and take out the Gas Fireplace?"

At least she didn't mess with my Turntable.
I yanked that B* out like the Kool-Aid man.
Jesus man, that is a ridiculous amount of work. I'm just over here wanting to borrow an excavator and stump grinder so i can redo my lawn. Lol
I've been finding more and more that I would rather pay someone than deal with the headache of some of the more in depth projects around the house.
Wowzers... that looks like fun, Wolvee. At one point I had both bathrooms inoperable. Started on one, then went to make one minor repair in the other.... replace a broken piece of tile. WRONG - found that the subfloor had surface mold from the tile being broke, and I can't just leave that for someone else to deal with (I am OK with mismatched handles though, LOL Jbrew). Luckily all I have left in the one is the ceiling to paint. The other bathroom? It's only been re-sheetrocked, and the first coat of mud. My nephews are supposed to be doing the sheetrock in my downstairs hall and laundry room, then I am debating on whether or not I'll mud that b!t¢4 or just leave it like that.
This weekend I took two loads to the landfill (truck said 6900 pounds on the scale one time, 6800 the next) raked/mowed the lawn, tilled the garden, got out the Mustang for the summer, power washed the house and all of the cement.... then finished the bathroom yesterday. No wonder I'm sore this morning.
....and, I am Just shy of 11 months post-back surgery to boot. So this was the biggest amount I've done in a LOOONG while. So if it sounds wussy, that's why, hahahaha.

Reason: realized it was Wolvee having fun, not JP.
Dang, fellers!- and i thought it was just me!- the last 3 weeks have been perpetual house jobs!- nothing major, thank the Lord, but its been- what about this color?- do you think it matches the curtains?- what about the floor?- oh, thats too dark!, can you lighten it up some?- lets remove the wallpaper.- but it has turned out nice, ill give her credit for that!-
Its still too cold and wet here for outside projects, but that will be coming soon!
I hope you thinkers have a good week!- be careful in your endeavors!-
I feel like a 4 year old wrote my my last post. I need to stop posting when I'm tired.
I dropped 5 trees in the back yard last October but before I had a chance to finish clearing 3 of them my neighbor borrowed and broke my Stihl. Now I've got a mess right where I wanted to start building my 25x40 "Timber framed Pergola". (I have to call it a Pergola because our HOA says I can't have a second garage, lol.) So that's another Project started and haven't finished.
I never thought buying a house would be so much work and I can't imagine what this would be like if we had bought the "fixer upper" we wanted.

A pergola it is then. Lol
I think houses are a lot like trucks. No matter how well it serves it's purpose there is always something we can do to make it better.
Fellars... I hope your weekend is going well. What do you all have on tap today?
I've been working for a while on the idea of adding a sunroof to the 2 door. With all of that overhead console and dome light in the way, I chopped and moved a few things around in the truck. Got a headliner from the you-pull-it and had to cut holes in it for the shortened oh console and for the new dome light position. Made a patch for the old dome light hole out of some textured plastic cut on a laser cutter.
I'm about ready to sell my Screw. It's been the family truck since Dad brought it home off the showroom floor in 2000. I've been accepted to the University of Arizona and will be headed out there in June to start studies towards a Master of Architecture degree.

Pretty clean work so far. Good luck with your studies too.
