Bottom right side of timing chain cover. Trans lines are on the left side of the pic.
The bolt shouldn't go into oil area but I assume a bit of the timing cover gasket has failed near there (or the block has developer a small crack, which I think is unlikely). I hope this is the last oil leak. 286K miles and front seal is still good (so far).
Was leaking so bad that I lost 1/2 qt between oil changes. After oil pan gasket, remote filter lines, and rocker cover gaskets I no longer noticed any loss on dipstick but truck still left small puddles,
Leak detector found that leak in about 5 minutes and after 30 minutes no other leaks found, Hopefully no more leaks.

I just shipped my oldest off to TX until summer. It's supposed to be 84 degrees and +50% humidity there on Thursday. So she'll learn real quick that she's not in Kansas anymore. (Utah)

My sister has 8 or 9 acres with a pond... She keeps trying to get me to move/come down there. My Buddy up the street (he's from TX) says he likes UT a lot better - they don't like humidity.

Kinda funny, we sent him and his Wife a message that she left for TX tonight. He replied back "let us know if she needs a translator". LOL

VEry nice, but 8-9 acres is actually an ideal size FOR a pond.
