Muggy?
That's only when leaves are on the trees.

As I get older I'm finding that the cold bothers me much more now than hot.
With how I lived my life before 30 YO, it's probably good that I am getting used to heat.

We are here in this mess, -

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected.
Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST Saturday.

Not to bad I guess...has some potential.

This is what I hate though, -

Colder at night...Looks like our little ice age is about to begin this season.

Bad thing is, it hasn't froze yet and it's super saturated around here. It's going to be an ice block real qiick now...the ice is going to ruin some stuff this year...infrastructure I expect, It's going to run deep. As in water mains and whatnot.

Oh, no. The winters in OH can be humid, too, and the cold goes right through you. I'd much rather have 18° here than 28° there.*. Not to mention, 300 days of sunshine is pretty nice.

* Heck, here can be more tolerable!

This ^^^.... what is that , the immune system ? Didn't have an issue with either not long ago. Both are much more intolerable now.....occurred at some point in my 50's. As long as I dressed for the cold, I was okay, no problem...heat , -same way..keep hydrated no problem. But now it's like , have to seek shelter of something is going to pop..

It's that large muscle in about the center of your chest. Gotta take care of that thing or it's going to be tuff regulating what it needs to.

I have to say, I have become less tolerant of the cold as the birthdays have piled on. If I end up moving, I might be looking to warmer climes. And health matters aside, it really *is* all in what you get used to and adapting your habits to accommodate.

Why you send it this way? Please keep it there.

Gonna need to keep the firewood dry and make sure we got plenty for the next couple weeks.

Unusually cold coming. Must be another one of those polar vortexes.
Instructions?
Best instruction ever. ^^^...bookmarked those. Definitely a life saver...seriously, and easy to understand.

Don't think we are sending it your way this time noobs, Hasn't froze here yet. We are just getting the cold stuff beginning next week. It's so wet, we are sinking into the water tabe. Sub freezing temps next week though, we'll be at the proper elevation again shortly I expect..and then some..

Good to have a fireplace for backup, the best for it imo.

I feel the same way. The older I get, the cold makes my joints hurt and stiffen right up. I have a friend in AZ...we've been friends since 6th grade... and he keeps sending me AZ job openings, LOL. Keeps tempting me with the "you can work on your cars all year round" deal. I might move somewhere else after my parents are gone. They need me close (ish) right now though.

I had to scrap my elk hunt because they're supposed to get 3-6 FEET of snow, and it's a 6 hour drive.

Ref: the "instructions" above: Heated socks are a huge lifesaver for me, as I have some issues with circulation in my toes (chilblains) as are the heated grips on the ATV. Polypropylene long johns are another bullet in the gun. I've been wearing those since being stationed in Minot, ND back in the mid-to-late 80's. (Same set if you can believe it!)

We have the cold spell coming too.
I stocked up on some groceries from Kroger pick-up.
I bought three 1lb. packages of Angus ground beef on the same day.

The next morning, I find this in the fridge...

The gray one says 9:32, and the other two say 12:36.

Would you eat it ?
