Holey crap! Hunter did almost die...
_______________
Grayson.... the one son just like his dad. lol
I think that was the best one yet...or damn close to it. Dustins injector question to Paul was hilarious....the way Paul answered anyway...seen right through that lol. That was funny.
Reputation and word of mouth is everything I expect.
Darrin of BCA, much vaunted here, did my 4R70W, up built as he did his own '01. Extra discs, so some machining. Suggested a local for the convertor but he saw none near me in CAlif so he included it. 16 or 1800?. S&H of course. 1 notch firmer shifts. Forget the selected stall.speed. "Good stuff, Maynard." Great to talk with. Stands being his stuff. Standing in front, not suggested. He has a web site, not quite complete due to older software.
Not sure how to figure out what to charge there...

Yep, that's for damn sure. One of the big shops here locally (with a national presence) sells parts - and Ron was there picking something up. He told me that a customer came in and told the owner "my truck bangs back into first unless I manual shift it". The owner told the guy "sounds like you got it figured out then". That's dogs4it customer service.

Yes he did! I didn't realize that until Michelle hollered it out.
Wait, I thought you liked or owned a Greeny at one time. lol, -
Oh well lol..
The brown is cool as well.
Yes, dad was a Master Machinist, Tool & Die Maker also. Woke up a couple "degreed snooty engineers" at Boeing. His were green lined. Mine at work were brown as was pictured. I mentally separate green for wrenching and machining, and brown as mech-elec prototyping. It just happened that way.
I like still the bright green for one job and brown for the other. But the brown was company owned.
I feel I can see into a drawer lined w green better when standing. The brown, I'm sitting at a sano work bench so drawers are right under my nose and lighting is indoor and brighter for detailed stuff, often NASA spec or gov't work for starwars, or fussy japanese corporates.
EDIT to MODS;
I have to Edit often due to typos. Typing, the fonts are way smaller than after it posts and I can SEE the results. Do others suffer this, or is it fixable?

Was it actually machined? You can accomplish this without machining using the right Alto clutches and their Kolene steels.
EDIT: PDF Added of said kits...

I took Darrin's word for it. I think he's in oHIo. Does only Ford I think. Shop of 5 or 6? 1 extra Fwd & 1 Reverse disc extra, as I recall. Maybe was 2 & 1...?
Very good rep. COVID hit them, the holidays, so there was a tad of slippage in the promised time. Week or so. GOOD Handholding and explanations for a newbie to automatics such as I. Learned about him from this forum. BCA, I think. Phone and links died, but I probably have emails if needed. He might even use your suggested discs now versus machining. I have my old trans. Maybe worth rebuilding. Or better, do the one on my E250 fancy airport shuttle!!!
Just wanted to say... By no means was I saying he didn't actually do it, just that it can be accomplished easier than machining. If he said he did it that way, I'm sure he did.
Generally we use Raybestos clutches and steels for most applications. They always just do what you need them to do.... work.

Might wanna minimize that ...if you do it to much you may go blind.
