Not going for the torch takes discipline...at times loads of it LMAO
I definitely caved in, lol. I'll hafta snap a pic. Like I was saying, it was dark - so I had no idea what it was doing to it. It just looked wet to me.

Did you see Pauls new one yet. If not , wait until you hear that thing. It's not ready yet, but you get a teaser....lol.
I think Chad got his Whipple for the Godzilla as well..not sure , still watching that one.
Good idea! [ Reptile mats.] getting by with this for now, -
Really help when I run out hand warmers as well. My hands are worst now a days...they take forever to come back once I let them freeze lol. But yea, hand warmers or battery gloves for that IF I can find them.
Reptile mats in stores seem way pricey Try Amazon.
Further, no adjustment. iF they match seed mats, I see:
10-20°F over AMBIENT. Bet noone tests this at 0-25°F...!
I also read, 68-85, bit the same caveat holds.
Now take the 10x20 mats at $15 and add a controller, you can adjust 45-108. One controller can run p to 4-6 mats, which are 20w ea, if ON max as they self regulate or controller regulate. On a dash, the soften or melt ice.
cheaper as a set. 2 mats, 1 controller, $45. With past failures I now stick to Vivosun.
With enough below the seal you might keep locks liquid rather than ice. Warmed well, lube to displace moisture. Ages ago I removed door panels and did the inside with copious WD40 annually.
I'll tell you what. It didn't take long for this to happen. The bottle was was on the torch is MAP/PRO. Not sure if that made a difference.
Well, yellow bottled MAPP IS made to make hot fast work outta getting stuff hot 'n bothered in a darn hurry... Esp as compared to the blue bottles. Maybe heat a spare key help w needle nose next time. Hair dryer on LOW? Nail in a soldering iron? MAPP could soon destry chrome paying on such a lightweight thing in not too long. Tin can with a precision hole in it to fit the lock button? LOL. V hot tap water. Your lock is wet already anyway. Then displace that w WD40. Cannot fathom MAPP gas so near paint.
But then I had to explain distilled water for batteries and coolant top off - both of whom studied up before believing it. Good water here so they got away with it since forever. Now the young one wants a still for his new shop. 🤪 Lifts just installed. Still setting up. Just painted walls. 415Mechanix, SF
Yep, I use Mapp for sweating copper and little bonfire get togethers during the warmer months.
Whole crap white...can't say I haven't done anything like that though.. huh, need a minute..still thinking lol. Anyway give graphite grease a try, I think that's works.
I don't think you can get the genuine Mapp in stores anymore Bill..just the modern mapp which is Map-pro as white has it. If I remember right anyway. It's suppose to be just as hot, but I'm not sure that's true...It's hot enough though.
EDIT: Yea the original MAPP was discontinued in 2008...if anybody cares anyway lol.

Reason: Osha MAPP
EDIT: Just spent an hour talking to mf'n Xfinity. Those bastards messed with the wrong guy. The guy told me (copying and pasting his words from the chat transcript):
You are now entitled to get a free phone for Samsung Galaxy A54 amounting $499.99 dollars for free. And A $20 dollars discount monthly
for the internet if you avail the promo for just adding one more line for just added $15 dollars monthly.Upon checking here, There's a one time fee charge To you State & Local Sales Tax $31.49
Due to taxes and fee and other charges. But it's for one time only. And the phone is completely free!
So, I get the phone today and I went to activate it. And I see this:
The guy I talked to today tells me that the deal is "Device Payment of $18.74/mo for 24 months".
I told the dude "Yeah, I was deceived. I don't want it. I wouldn't have agreed to it if the phone wasn't free. I don't need it."
Sum8itc4 tells me I can return it for a 35 dollar restocking fee. LOL... THE BEAST AWAKENS.
I told him "No, I'm not paying a restocking fee. You're taking it back for free, or giving it to me for free. I'll straight up get a lawyer."
And.... they're taking it back for free, and refunding me the amount I already paid. Oh, and crediting my first month.
The lawyer thing was probably a little extreme. But, sometimes I say s4!t in the heat of battle.
