It sounds like he's taking your generosity and turning it into uncompensated slavery. lol

Yeah, it kind of feels like that. I've also had to get tools to do it every time too. When I did the plugs on their 3V, I bought the Lisle extractor. I bought the fog machine for the intake on it. Now I'll need A/C gauges and a vacuum pump.

Been wanting the gauges and a pump though....

Spend the money on your new house and your time with your wife and if you have kids, your kids. Enough with the freeloader. lol

I concur my friend. Give that dude an expense list and tell him to pony up or do it himself.

Or explain to him the difficulty of the job and say you'd have to charge him, and stamp a price on the job he'll either take because he doesn't know any better, or goes to an actual repair shop to get it done for cheaper. List all the things you'll have to fool with and deal with to remove & install it, to make it sound as complicated a job as it is a pain to actually do lol. Maybe that'll get him off your back. Or at least make it a little bit worth it if you're getting some moo-lah out of it.

White has probably already done the job for the guy. I hope he gets compensated in some way for the time and energy he used to do it.

Sometimes people tend to be overly nice. White is one of those guys.

I didn't do it.... yet. He doesn't speak the greatest of english, so I'm not sure if he understood me when I told him to buy the tools (gauges and vacuum pump), that I get to keep - and I will do it. I've got a few tools doing things like this, LOL.

If you get the gauges and stuff when done, well that is something a bit different. I still wouldn't do it (not anymore, but when I was younger, oh hell yeah, lol). Something tells me he won't step up until it gets so hot that he needs the AC. Then it will be too hot to do the job. lol

Right now he can't even drive it because the front bearing is shot in the compressor. He hasn't driven it since that night.
