Skyler and the 12 aliases.

I think Paul's going to trash his big block in the wrecker. One thing after another!

Today is chili day !
I have a lot of stuff to prep for the chili.
Almost 3 lbs. of Brisket.

Stuff I picked up at the store.

More stuff.

Stuff mom has for me.

I also have a couple cans of Rotel w/ green chilis not pictured.

Not sure I am using everything pictured, but I went off 3 different recipes and bought what was on the 3 different lists.
They were all for brisket chili.

I smoked the brisket already, but I might put the chili in the smoker after it's done for another hour.

LaCosteña Chipotelé is not super hot and adds a smoke component.
And I do not see any beer there, for, uh, seasoning.
Speaking of seasoning, a tiny bit of poultry seasoning will.add a sage flavor, which should Not be enough to notice (!) but adds a down home kitchen sink complexity.

A really hard thing to do is to note your recipe and REMEMber to add 1/2 tsp of ___ when you find it needs it, and revise the recipe when all done... but that's the mark of a pro... data. How many beers, what type, all that yummy important stuff.
Prost!

So we've had this shiverlay 4L60 that's been giving us a fit. I studied the GM workshop manual very well trying to figure out what the symptoms all had in common. They all kept going back to the pump. Ron rebuilt the pump though, so we kept bypassing that as a cause. Late last night... I'm talking 1:45am, he texted me. "I found the problem!". He found the stator was cracked on the inside only. The outside looks fine. This is a really strange issue, but definitely a hood learning experience!

Its the second line back, and you can see that it only makes it around about 75% of the way.

He's a really good dude. It was a great find by him. Every one of these he's shown me in the past was always broke all the way through, so this is a weird deal.

He says it's going in the new shop as a trophy, LOL.
