Thinking
In my opinion, these days, if you're towing much more than a 19' camper with a 10th-gen 150, you're driving too little truck. There are probably a lot better options for not a whole lot more money.
And the 7700 10th gen will still be under-powered.

At our altitude, I don't know how you could pull anything with these slugs. They can barely pull themselves over the mountains.
Hey, If you have a Dodge Ram Diesel, UTube-"Todd" got his from 3 to 4000 rpm and 200 to 400 HP. He's doing his tranny next. (🤭😉🤣

I had a GVW of 8200 lbs in a factory upbuilt 6200 lb GVW Dodge MaxiVan (I special ordered, to avoid 1976 unleaded gas,) w a 360 (a trk eng, unlike the 318,) w a 2.71 rear, cross country... just 140 HP, did 120 in 2nd. The F150 has 265 and 4 gears, vs 3. I'm not pulling an elephant in a trailer up Pike's Peak... (that they ruined w asphalt.) I've done a bigger radiator. Everything's a compromise. An old vet's budget and 5-10 years left, is mine. A 7700 would just give me that edge, legally.
So much is the driver. I do want a better temp gaugeS, for water, trans and such. A tuner is planned will help with trans temp. What I cannot do with 200+ horses need not be done. Saw the Tesla pull a trailered Porche and beat a Porsche. Meh... Saw my 1st Tesla Trk 2 nites ago in SF on 280. Flat SS panels all unflat. If you know SS, you understand.

COS - Agreed. Here, these things are so down on power as to be nearly in-usable for pulling things. Heck, with these 3.55 gears and 285/70-17 tires, it sometimes shifts into second trying to keep 60 MPH up hill.
My 5.4 '99 with 3.73's, though, did decently with my 19' camper in Ohio and pulling the Mustang on the car trailer out here until I got off 25 onto Filmore.
