Yea, same here, amateurs. They went crooked on mine. I isolated the leak this morning, it's the flashing around the furnace/water heater vent stack. They merge into one, it's code up here. Think I better fix it myself. Well, I'll wait until Monday since I have a guy coming out, I might have him do it if he seems competent and shows up before I tire from waiting.

Well the rear end is in. It took 2hrs 20 minutes, with 30 of that for removing my old exhaust system. I ended up cutting it out with a battery reciprocating saw. It came out immediately. At least I will get rid of the mixed up exhaust they had on it.

The rear end went well. I used 2 rims, without tires, and rolled the old one out and moved the rims to the new axle, and rolled it right back into where it went. I did have to order the right side e'brake cable, to make sure it was the right length. Mine rear end came out of a SCrew, so it's cable is about 12 inches too long.

The plain rims, made this job so simple. It was easy to do on the floor, with the rims. It turned a heavy job into a quick replacement. Now I'm happy I made the changes. I now have a disc brake rear axle, with limited slip. I couldn't find anything wrong with the differential, but the front seal was out of it completely. Other than that, nothing seems wrong.

Here is what it looks like now with the lift blocks taken out and the new rear end installed. The second pic is the pos called an exhaust system. Straight pipes off a single 3 inch tube.

All in all, not a bad time for a change out. We will bleed the brakes tomorrow. My back wouldn't take another 30 minutes of doing much today. Tomorrow, maybe. We were just getting started when the damn rain came again. This time, 20 minutes later, it was hot as hell again. We kept at it, and other than the ebrake cable, and bleeding the brakes, it's done.

It must be the way it is parked, looks sort of wadded up in the back, but the space from top of the tires to the body looks even ? Does it sit level now on the road ?

Yea that exhaust seen better days lol.

She is absolutely level now. 38 inches from the ground to the lip under the fender on the front and rear. I put in the street and it was perfect.

The driveway slopes down in the front, causing the angle. I also have some serious divots in my parking pad, so I know what you are describing.

I was going to replace the exhaust today, but went with the differential, and the exhaust removal. I'll put on the muffler and exhaust pipes tomorrow. Back allowing. lol.

The weather needs a little tuning, I'm ready for fall, so are my joints lol. This hot humid crap blows. Sucks being outside after awhile, gets old.I guess they're forecasting better stuff for the week end here. Better truck work weather anyway.

AK- you really put in a day!-looks good- boy, what a cobbled up exhaust!- is your hard cover texturized or smooth?
I dug the one for my truck out of the barn where dad stored it- its an undercover brand but its molded black and texturized-it dont look too bad. It will make for a nice winter cover.

Same truck here. That truck you got there really looks good lifted. With the short wheel base, it would be fun in the dunes around here.
