It's no different than having a shell on a pickup. Both have their drawbacks. I guess you can't please everyone.

The thing is, you don't have to. Please everyone that is. I've just seen people wrestle those things, well one guy in particular until he finally got rid of it. I think he finally seen the light, - or got fed up with me razzing him about it lol.

Well, it was an excuse to use my truck to haul something because he had that thing on the back of his...know what I'm sayin ?

For some reason they look a little better on a lightning. Because of the trucks low profile I expect. The ugliest feature of that cover is noticed when looking at it from the side of the vehicle. It increases the height of the bed, -makes the truck look Frankenstein and butt ugly imo.

This tonneau only sits 3/4 of an inch higher than the bed caps. I think it's more a color vs color thing, that makes them look higher. Once it is the same as the truck color, then you won't see it so vividly. I've pretty much decided that the new color will be troubador red metallic. I like a deep rich metallic paint over straight pigment paints.

I disagree. But it doesn't matter, as long as you got the math and color coordination to work for you.

Yes Bear, I'm fine. I think I'm gonna step back some from posting, and also there isn't much to talk about with the wet weather lately. Thanks for asking. I hope all is well with everyone.

Hope I haven't been too adamant with my thoughts..as usual

We had a torrential down poor last night, first in a very long time. Sitting in the office at the time scoping out the weather channel and heard a dripping in the distance. Yep, sprung a leak in the kitchen. Got a big sauce pan out of the cubbard to catch the water. It was coming down by the fridge at the the time. Then it began leaking over by the sink, crap! Then one more, but this was much farther away in the laundry. Sort of freaked, got into my rain gear, grabbed the largest tarp I had and headed for the roof. Draped the tarp over the area, cut a small slit in it so it would fit tight around the stacks, hauled up a home depot bucket full of paver's to hold the tarp in place, went back into the house then the rain stopped.

It started up again, even harder than the first time and it fricken still leaked! Can't believe it, I covered a large area of the roof leaving no water traps.

Guess it has to be leaking at a ridge line (peak) and traveling a ways before dumping on the ceiling. That's all it could be I expect. Can't get a roofer here until Monday.

So yea, my report for the latest wet weather. Ceiling hasn't caved at least, - hairline cracks and seeping though.

Update: Damn, looks like it's going to be a tear-off job...shucks! Yea I can't find any leaks from up top, guess I could get in the attic. Man that's going to be a hot one.
