Sometimes people will assume Hooterville was down in the south somewhere.
I argue that is was in California. The distance to the capital city. So many stupid government people. So many rules. A road that was approved in 1930 not being built until 1968.

Now I have proof.

Spin the view around a bit to the other side of the street.
It's Newt Kiley's house. Somebody built a porch on it but that's it.
And it's in California.

Did some shifting while a friend watched the engine, and then tried some jacking of the engine - it barely moves.

Yea, but you don't care about that.

Rarely the motor mounts with these vehicles, should be ruled out regardless. The heat shields are more common..particularly the smaller (but much more restrictive) upstream shields.

The spot welds give way at the corners one at a time. If it's just one weld, it might take some pressure to silence it. More than one weld on the same side and you should notice a change in pitch /vibration immediately.

EDIT: Could also be the brick or honey comb. They can crack and make a vibration noise. In the past, a friend with Grand Marque had one of his replaced because that. That one was noisy at a certain speed.
