The other day I was going through Plex, seeing if they had anything good to watch on their "free" service. I ran across the old Unsolved Mysteries. Well... lets just say that now my 18 year old is hooked on it. She's been sick for 3 weeks (needs to have her Gallbladder out), and she's watched a very good portion of them. Didn't realize it ran for 12 seasons.
Anyone know what this is? On the same harness as the oil pressure sensor...
Btw, whoever designed the remote oil filter on this truck was smoking crack...pita to get to the top mount nut on the filter bracket, both nuts on the engine block side are stripped and will need replaced, and the bottom plate nut seems to be cross threaded. Btw, anyone know where I can get cheap plate nuts that fit Ford 10mm bolts?
EVO connector. Electronic Variable Orifice connector. Electronic steering valve assembly to assist. . That's the only piece of that package you received factory for the gen 10 150's,..just a connector from the PCM.
____________
Just me, If I was after a nice Gen 10 it would be a 97/97 with w/remote filter system. I've had both lol.
That was 97/98 in the last. The very first 97's didn't have the didn't get the improved gaskets through out. Just he early 97's. Ford was still completing various testing, finalizing at Daytona at the time...didn't make the cutoff. Later 97's had though. Leak proof gaskets. That said, the passenger side head gasket had an unknown problem at the time that plagued these later trucks through the years. "The Burr defect". Burr left in casting, that would ensue some amount leakage after the release. The leakage varied in degree, but it turned up often enough for Ford to get on it eventually. The leak would manifest in the same spot, back outside of the passenger side head...same spot every time. Some had to be repaired, some could live with it since most would develop as time went one after warranty.
