My oldest hooked it up to her truck with a long rope and began towing it over jumps. They were all taking turns riding in the RV. They got that on vid, it was hilarious. They burned it in the end. That thing went up in a ball of flames pretty quick lol

We had some old Super 8 converted about 20 years ago. Had a motocross race, horse show and b-day party on it. It was pretty cool to watch. I can't remember if it was converted to CD/DVD, it's not ringing a bell, it was something computer friendly, some other format but can't remember which.. Anyway, that's stuffed in a box of photos somewhere I expect.
Those things were cop magnets too, LOL. We were out one night, and my Buddy decided to hit a stop sign and a mailbox at an abandoned building. I was filming... well, about 10 minutes later we got pulled over. The cop was cool and just asked us for out ID's to make sure we weren't out past curfew (we were all over 20 at the time). So he let us go after seeing we were all old enough. I had my camera sitting on the floor in front of me, and I was nervous he'd ask for it, LOL. My job was always to film... I didn't do much driving, lol.

The thing that's funny is, here we are 25ish years later, and we still talk pretty frequently - even though one of us is in Australia now. And quite honestly... if we all got together right now, we'd probably get a little rowdy in a car, LOL.

Noobie.....where did you get a bag of m&m's with more red, blue, orange, and green ones and only a few yellow or chocolate? Not fair. I always get tons of opposites.

Whitey, how was the surface of the ring when you replaced the brushes? Any damage?

They are worn. Still usable, but definitely worn down.

As far as I can tell, this is original. Me and AK were talking about that earlier. Those brushes may have been replaced, but all the rest is definitely original.

Good morning, all.

This is what I found when I rebuilt mine, White.

Some said I shouldn't bother replacing that slip ring (?), but this made me feel a lot better.
