I'm about 3/4 of the way through part 1 of Golden Nugget...wow, what a trip. Making roads with winch and boulders. That's new! Definitely an adventure...fun stuff!
Yeah, that was pretty hairy. Can't wait to see part 2 on Sunday now!!

That was funny... I also chuckled when they dropped the cantaloupe in the dirt, then brushed it off....

Finally, I found a Bulldog mount listed. It said only thru the 2015 models. I emailed the supplier and they said it fit thru 2017. They had no further info. Honda uses the same frame and mounts from 2005 up. Slightly different in the older models. Anyways, when you go to Bulldog it is 215 plus shipping for this plate. They at least have it. I decided I had the number for their part and I researched the hell out of it.
I bought it this morning, from Advance Auto Parts for 69.99. They actually carried this part. WHY? I'm glad they do, but it's not something they normally sell. Lets see. 215 from the supplier, but 70 from a sub-supplier? The math doesn't work, but I'll gladly save 145 bucks. It just doesn't make sense, but I went with it.
That's nuts, but I've seen similar situations like that. Same damn part for half the price in a different box. Just had that same scenario with the breather valve cover breather I just bought.... which damn Amazon sent ANOTHER one to me yesterday. So now I have three, LOL.
So, it's not often when I call uncle on a car project. But I have to on the rear drivers side O2 of the F150. It's rusted in there BAD. I've used heat, Kroil, breaker bars, and finally even took the Sawzall to it so I could put a normal socket on it. It won't budge, and all I am doing is effing my shoulder up. No room for even my stubby impact. So tomorrow, I'll hang my head in shame and go get it taken out by the guy that's probably going to weld the mufflers in Frankie. This O2 is kind of a test, lol. A lot of people talk this guy up on the local FB group, so we'll go see.
She ain't perfect, but it's protected. I also half-arsed the ground effect with aluminum colored paint, just to give me an idea of colors. Next summer, it's on!
Don't ya just want to make the whole thing that pretty blue now? It would be hard for me to stop there, i would just want to keep going. One question, what is that hole?
From 79 to 89, Ford had a seatbelt retractor that goes in there. I thought it was missing until I took it apart. It's in there, just haven't put it in until the paint dries. When the airbags arrived in 90, they went to a different design. I might upgrade mine (in both cars), they work better.
Too lazy to go out and take a pic of my 89, so I googled it, LOL.... here's what it looks like.
EDIT: And yes, I want to paint the whole thing right now. But between body work and not having an actual spray gun yet, I'm refraining - as hard as that is.
Welp, this mechanic is struggling with this O2 also. I don't feel so bad.
I freaking hate taking $4it to people... it's a serious blow to my ego. Feel like my man card needs pulled.
EDIT: It's getting a new bung. He just told me that is the first one he ever had defeat him. That mother was in there pretty good. Believe it or not, this guy is the only shop that does exhaust on this side of the mountain. Kinda weird...

The cold caught up to me... over the course of the last couple hours. Swell.
Got the damn O2 fixed on the truck (brand new bung), and now the alternator light is flickering. Good thing I have two or three alternators sitting here. I think it probably needs brushes is all. We have a downpour going on right now, or I'd run out there and get it done.
