Interesting... I just got a notification on IG that Denso started following me.

So, Frankie now has a Taurus fan. Long story short, I noticed what I thought was a slight crack in the Cougar fan.... and as soon as it hit high, it broke loose.

Went to Tear-a-part on my way home from work and got a 3.8 Taurus fan, and mounted it in the factory shroud.... it's just like the setup in The Eight Nine now.

Annnnnnd, for the very first time tonight, I had someone yell "nice car" to me in Frankie. I get it all the time in The Eight Nine, but tonight was a first!

 

This could be the road to stardom !!!

 

Man.... this thing is pretty fun to drive. Needs gears though, and the new T5 put in it. My Buddy sent me a bunch of pics of the parts kit a couple days ago. The original plan was to just make one trans out of two, but he went all out and bought 500 dollars in bearings, synchros, etc for it. It REALLLLLLY needs a Hurst shifter. I can not stand the shifter that is in it. The Hurst in my 89 is a million times better. My Buddy that's doing the T5 told me he'd come over and help me do the gears in it. I have a set of 3.73's and a set of 3.31's. Probably go with the 3.31's though.

 

Some bad air today. That's Pikes Peak you can just barely make out.



Whitey, unless you're planning on forced induction, I'd put in the 3.73's without hesitation. And FWIW, I really like my Tri-Ax shifter. Probably better than the Hurst I had in my Fox, but I can't really quantify the difference.

I'm doing a 351 N/A. My friend just told me his 3.55's are too low in his Capri with a 351. He said he wished he had a 3.08 in it. So hell... I don't know.
