Thinking
In the mountains there, the temp drops 3 or 4 degrees per 1000'..if I remember right.
9000 is up there, I think we are around 800, at our coordinates anyway. Alaska has us all beat.... unless they sank recently, they're just about in outer space lol.

Yea, our record low today was 37*, you'll top that this week there .

Yea, that's a trip. The latest I've seen snow in MI was in April....and that was long ago.

No wonder it gets so hot here then. I'm at 108' ASL. My old house was at 155' and it didn't seem any cooler. No frost since April 1.
I don't even get to garden though. S. O. says I'm too clumsy (I think she means stupid). She bought a tiller that I was told I would never need to use. That was not true.
Peas and strawberries are just about over. Blackberries in a week or so. Spinach and kale all year. Broccoli soon. Yellow squash in a week or so. Beans growing good but they ripen in July.

Well, she picked up spinach, lettuce, some kind of peas and corn this morning. Haven't attempted corn here yet, I thought we were done.....I like that add-on.
That's a cool site, Noobs. It puts me at 8 888', about 50' lower than my GPS. Of course, that depends on *where* I am on the property. 8,950 is what I'd been using, so I rounded up to 9,000. I guess 8,900 is more accurate.
Yeah, Brew, it's still way up there. Funny - When I go back to Ohio to visit there's a whole lot more air in the air.
I notice it both in breathing/endurance and in vehicle power.

When I go to the western part of the state hiking or stuff, it's between 1500' and 3000'.
At about 2500' I'm wondering where all the air went. At 8900' I would need an O2 tank until I acclimated.

Relocated to Ohio a few years ago, but not a whole lot of new stuff going on. Lots of new vehicles, but not any new for the 10th gen.
How are you guys doing? Good to see the usuals still holding down the fort ..
