Yea, I bet on the shocks.
The Ford adapter is fine, it's the one in the hose. I actually lost the original Ford adapter in the move... so this one is only a couple years old. The rest of it was bought in the late 90's.

I actually thought I had lost this new adapter, but I had put it with my A/C stuff on accident. Glad I thought to check there.

EDIT: Then I started "thinking" in a vicious cycle again.... I'd be an idiot to put these struts in without doing caster/camber plates.... and then I need it aligned, so I may as well put new tie rods on it. And if the ball joints are bad, it can't be aligned. And if I am messing with the control arms, I may as well put new bushings in.... geez. Then I have to find someone that can do the alignment correctly. This won't be a Big O job.

It took me by surprise.. I knew the Ford adapter had it in there. The pump kept registering zero. I think it's a weak pump, but there has to be SOME pressure there. So I took it all off and pushed the Schrader valve with a pick, and it had mediocre pressure. Looked in the hose, and it's just a hole. I have a 255 LPH Walbro pump in my parts bins, so I will probably put that in when I replace the fuel level sending unit (should be here this week). I want baseline/comparison for pressure as it sits though.

The Walbros are good pumpers, - choice I believe....think you can use the 255s in the lightnings as well.

Default ABS Low pedal

Hi do you need a scan tool to bleed my 2001 Ford f 150 4x4 . I just replaced both of my rear calipers along with a hard line and a flex line all on the rear. So I bled my brakes and I had a low pedal . I bought a new master cylinder and bench bled it ,replaced 2 master cylinder lines going to the ABS module. Bled the brakes 2 times using a vacuum bleeder. Seemed to get a lot of air out of the system but still pedal goes to the floor. Will pump up solid after 3 or 4 pumps but let it rest for a minute or two and pushes to the floor ,no leaks ??? So do I need a scan tool to cycle the ABS to get air out of it ? I'm buying a pressure pump to bleed the brakes(Motive brand) Can I bleed the ABS unit with the pressure pump by cracking the lines ? or does the unit need to be cycled so the position of the internal parts are in the proper spot ? Thanks for your time and knowledge Herman

If you end up with fuel-heating problems, White, it will be due to that pump over-circulating it. I was fine with that pump on my HCI combo, but after I installed the Vortech, I had problems with fuel vaporizing in the tank, building pressure, and causing it to 1) overheat the pump to the point of shutdown, and 2) causing fuel to spew out of the filler neck. I attribute it to the added under-hood heat from the blower, and my altitude lowering the boiling point of the fuel. I installed my '03's trans cooler as a fuel cooler, and all has been fine since.

Anyway, that was a lot longer than I intended. Bottom line: If you have trouble with the 255 LPH pump, drop back to a 190 (or a 155) or stock.

Just about got the garden licked. Was going to go with new tarps this year, but found some matching duct tape. Patched the old...that was a drag, - good enough for another season.

I think we're going to do a isolated spot for a pumpkin patch out back....then done..

Anyway, watered the crap out it, THEN it finally began raining of course, been raining ever since lol.

Oh yea, got blocked in at the farmers market, people became confused with excitement I gather. Picked up a few more things, then sprung from lockup while I had the chance.

All in all, a good day.

I've never seen one needed for these. If there is one thing that I've never been able to do right, it's bleed the brakes on these trucks. I always wind up taking it to my friend at Big O. He does it for 40 dollars, fluid included. This is one of the few things that I'll gladly pay to have done. He uses a vacuum bleeder.

It's staying N/A.... or at least that's the plan

Thanks for the heads up. Believe it or not, my 89 still has an Autozone stock replacement that I put in it back in April of 1995.

Awesome... good list! No squash or zucchini though? Those are quite popular here. I might do a zucchini in a pot.... just set it on the patio and make the sprinkler get it.
