LOL

I can't believe that, but if SOME are....here's what you need to question IF you value engine longevity/health. You know why they run them, but do you know how they run them ? I mean without a doubt ??

They run them with very little IF any recharging...I'd guess 0. Also some (that give a shiii) incorporate a sock/pre-filter. You can do that IF you know how to set up a micron filtration system that actually works well enough. Hell, I bet some run a dry K&N ONLY at the track.

BTW- in the past if I was to set a high performance engine filtration system incorporating a wet filter for high flow, I MIGHT run it dry but incorp a pre-filter (sock) with tacky grip, not straight up oil like they have for those filters. Tacky Grip doesn't bleed, it allowed flow and trapped all those small devils. Today they have nano fiber. If those guys aren't taking advantage of it, -it's more less foolish IMO. Specially with the money some of those guys have invested.

I wanna run one of the Amsoil Ea filters but they don't make one as big as the filter that I have for my airboat setup. I'll probably explore my options first.

I added to that post, -letting you know lol.

Someone on the lightning forum most likley figured out a good set up with what's offered today. Truley, the K&N is a scam without a doubt. I ran 2 different K&N set ups for two years every which way. Built my own intakes for awhile after...I have some old pics, for this gen lol. Anyway, yea, protect your investment man.

Helped my Buddy move some of his equipment and some transmissions to his new shop today, then went to O'Reilly and he put my name on his wholesale list. So I can get his discount and be tax exempt on parts. Pretty rad, eh?

Here's a pic of the old F150 in his shop.... I hauled his lift truck and Arbor Press. His truck was still loaded with transmissions from his old shop.

These are "supposed" to be a 70,000 mile tire. The guy next to my Buddy's shop does tires... and he said he'd do these for 155 per tire, mounted & balanced and an alignment included.

The jbrew of the lightning forums has a thread on an Amsoil filter that works well with my airbox setup. Thanks for the tip I'll be ordering one soon
