Two steps forward, three steps back. Just found this while loading the wheels and tires in the F150. How the hell did I miss this? I've moved these around countless times, and don't see it until the 11th hour.
I have a set of 3.31's and also some 3.73's sitting here. The direction I go there will depend on the trans I use. Really looking at the Holley setup with a 4 speed controller.... BUT, my Buddy is building my T5 right now, LOL.
CBAZA is a 60 pin 'stang strat that will run an AODE/4r70w. A9L2 will work with your existing PCM but won't run an electronic auto. Those are free and so is tunerproRT and they'll do more for a motor and trans than an aftermarket setup can.
We just got done having a 3-rail fence with horse wire installed. $10K for 325' plus two gates. The contractor told me the materials went up nearly 30% and lead time went out over three weeks a few days after he ordered our materials.
Sounds like you had it done just in time. For example, the regularly 3.94 2x4 is over 9 here now. It's still climbing.

Just a simple post in the Fox Body forum, and I'll have a wheel tomorrow. Could have it tonight, but I'm too lazy to drive to SL right now. I took the rear tires (and drums) off today for the first time. Passenger side axle seal is leaking, but all that is getting replaced soon. I did throw the KYB shocks and quad shocks in while I was in there.

Yeah, got really lucky. My Buddy has so many parts though... I knew if anyone would have one, he would. He's worked at so many tire and wheel shops over the years. He's got a new business doing LED setups for classic cars... he does some pretty neat stuff. He's owned around 100 Fox Body's.... can't remember the exact amount.
The shocks went pretty well. Them quad shocks needed some trial and error to find the right combo. It came with spacers to keep it from rubbing the conventional shocks. The instructions in the box were for the front struts.... don't know how that happens. So I logged in to Rock Auto to see if maybe I ordered the wrong quad shock, somehow. There I found the only instructions in the description.
Still didn't fit right with those instruction though... so, I did made it work.
It does work well. There are better options, but it worked well for reducing wheel hop. This thing launches squirrely, and I found a couple of issues. The quad shocks had no rebound whatsoever. The PO had replaced the other shocks at some point.... which I got a kick out of him telling me that because they were rusty.... anyway, there was about a 4 to 5mm gap on each side in the bottom bracket. Way too much play.
The difference in launching is night and day between my 89 and 88. Hopefully this helps. Going to try and get to the struts tomorrow, but should be going to SL early tomorrow, and it's my daughters birthday weekend. So ya know? We'll see what happens, but you only turn 10 once.
