we are still running paper- primarily pulp rolls for our sister mill in Jay,Maine. I dont know if it reached your news or not, but earlier this year one of their wood chip digesters exploded!
Thankfully no one was injured or killed-
Shortly after that, one of our blow tanks IMploded!- now we are down to one!

This is the blow tank- its about 4 stories tall.

It will be, by best estimates, 3-4 years before its replaced.
You fellers have a great day!- ill do another drive by later!- stay safe fellers!
I haven't heard about that down here but that looks like it could have been a very bad situation.

Here's the part number: M-6529-3V

I don't know if they're available from FRPP anymore but they show up with various iterations with a search. A look at Rockauto shows that the same parts for the Mustangs have different part numbers than the other 3V engines but the kit comes up in the application listing to be for any 2005-10 3V engine. (some list just the 4.6 while others list 4.6 and 5.4) Some kits list with shims while others don't? The thrust plates are separate from the kits. I can't offer any more information than this about the kits. What I'm aware of came from being around and overhearing actual mechanics talk about changing over to the kits on engines with similar wear issues you've shown in your picture. I was hoping others would have more to offer you about this.

EDIT: I've seen some 4.6 and 5.4 engines with cam cradles\girdles and some without. What was that about?

The town I'm in was once full of paper mills but it was all recycled paper. 2 or 3 times a year the local paper's headline was about some horrific accidents at the factories. Safety has come a long way from those days but paper mills can be a scary places to work going by the inevitable headlines being what they were. Environmental regulations ended up shutting all of the mills down by the late 70's. Fish from the river downstream from where the mills were located are still listed as unsafe to eat because of the chemicals that were used. Upstream from the mills there was once a large casting factory and the largest galvanizing plant in the mid-west and fish from that area of the river are no longer listed as unsafe. By inference alone this says a lot about what it must have been like to work in a paper mill at that time. You stay safe too!

LOL, - hey, it was worth a shot. I gave up on it for now, -in fact, just about right after I asked you about it lol. With mine, I think it's a pretty good guess that the spindle has froze after being subjected to a little moisture while in storage. There's power passed the interface, it's not a supply problem. There's a few more things I can try, but that's all stretch really, doubt they will work. It's a mechanical thing imo. I get absolutely nothing when energized....not a vibe or a peep.. I'm going to pull apart when I get the urge..

Perhaps a Kroil soak, a little marine biology, then chuck into a bag of that healing rice. Heard of that one yet ?

Hey, is that the original drive from the machine you built around the same I built mine? I recall we had similar built machines at approx the same date/year. I mention that because it's pretty close to the same drive I'm troubleshooting which was the original I choose back then. Mines early SATA. - Hangon....yea, it's a WD2500JS, dated May 19, 2006. First drive used in the Phenom II quad.

Not giving up on it totally yet...just recharging my batteries I guess lol.

Good luck w/yours!

Brew, that's out of a machine my Boss brought in for me to try and fix. No go though.

That PC you're talking about has an SSD (Sandisk) in it. Then it has a couple external drives too that are mechanical. WD Blue, WD Green, and a Hitachi. That hasn't even been fired up for a couple months.

Damn Bear. You get all the good things happening. LOL

Glad to see you still alive and kicking butt.

I finally had enough this am. Seeing all the new threads by one poster finally got to me. I had to ask, WTH is wrong with him. New threads daily or more. I finally had to say to AgriFord, Enough. Maybe I was wrong, but new posts daily on the same truck is irritating to no end. Maybe that is just me.

AK, LOL. I think he's caught everyone's attention for one reason or another. White had had enough last week over his endless transmission cooler questions. At some point he had to make a decision and pull the trigger on a cooler. White gave him the motivation he needed. Around here he would have heard, "#### or get off the pot!"

After reading his AC question, that reminded me I was going to ask you guys one...

When I imported the truck, I had the AC recharged but now, a couple of years later, it's stopped working again so I've been looking on RockAuto and see they do a pretty comprehensive replacement kit which might be the easy way to fix things since I don't intend to part with the truck anytime soon

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10848408

But they do 2 different kits, same parts in both except for the colour of the Orifice Tube, Red or Blue

I'll admit I have no idea on AC stuff (or the right equipment) so will be having a garage here do the work but how do I know which colour orifice tube I need or do I just order 1 kit plus the other colour tube as a just in case?

When I 1st had it recharged, they said they would be happy for me to source parts as it's not a system they usually buy parts for so whilst the kit has most parts, is there anything else I might need whilst we are at it?

They will be supplying the gas as it's not something joe public can easily buy here...

according to my ford parts catalog..there is no deciding factor. my recommendation would be take it apart and see which one you have
