Mike Rowe, gets mine too. Let's start a write in campaign!

Hey River, I've been around just quiet. Things have been all over lately and not all good. I've been laid up for almost a week now because of hernia surgery. I'm not good at being inactive so this is killing me.

I've had way too much time on my hands so I've decided I'm going to port match my intake on my bronco for fun and throw on an 86 throttle body to squeeze a little more fun out of it with a few extra mm's.

How the heck have you been?

Waiting for and having surgery over the holidays. I'm sorry to hear that and hope everything with it is going as planned. By the work you say you're planning I assume you are at least up and around albeit probably moving a little slower. Something that comes to darn soon without any help. Are the heads steel or aluminum and how deep do you plan on going? With time on your hands I'm guessing you're doing the entire job by hand? I take it this isn't your first matching job. I can feel your confidence so it can't be your first. Are you winging this or have you determined a standard pressure drop you're shooting for with access to a flow bench for testing? Observing port work is fascinating but thoughts of trying it myself isn't comfortable. I don't have the touch. Give me a welder. lol Putting it on is much more comfortable. Some guys though are surgeon like with just a burr. They can polish with a burr better than I can with a stone. I can blueprint the fine work of someone else with no problems though. Good luck and don't go walking around carrying those heads. Be careful. Seriously. Never had a hernia but I know surgeries and it's easy to forget yourself and do something like spin or pivot on one foot and pull something you wish you hadn't. From experience, if your working on a rubber mat I suggest you move the mat as a precaution. They can grab you before you know it. I'm not familiar with your Bronco except I believe you once said your wife has a Bronco II. Unless I've got that wrong is that the Bronco you're working on? I'm guessing whatever way, you're pulling a carburetor for the TB? If so you should also let us in on your fuel control plans. That would be interesting.

At home huh? A forestry guy surrounded by walls all day long must be a challenge. Hey, if you get too restless half of Australia is burning and you've got the skills???? Fire fighters without borders and usually a nice place to vacation. What's going on there though is sad.

Myself? Thanks for asking. TMI? I've been doing well until today. I would have preferred to have skipped today. I'll leave it at that but thanks.

Forgot this but I'm game! A website would be needed. I also have tried but I can think of a single good or worthwhile reason to ask him first. No reason he would even need to know until it matters. Like October sometime. The nonsense goes on too long as it is.

Rowe is a good pitch man, but so is Billy Mays, Anthony Sullivan and Vince who sells Invincible. None of them would I vote for President. We already are currently going thru this, so why do it again with another pitchman who doesn't know what they would be doing? I've had enough of that already. Same goes with the Larry David look a like running as a Dem. I keep waiting for him to take off flying with all the hand jesters. lol

Still going for the Rock with Tom Hanks as VP.

When it boils right down to it, we've created a monster. Who in their right mind would even want to run for President? Or any office for that matter? They can't even take a dump without it being on the news. Not to mention any dump you've taken in the past before you even thought of running. We had a local campaign that got so dirty that it was embarrassing. Every other commercial on TV was one of them getting their name dragged through the mud, and I am certain that a lot of it was questionable as to being a valid statement.

I've had some people hint at me running for certain city and county positions. Man, hell no. I wouldn't want to put my family through that.

Those two days of 46, then 48 degrees and sun really gave me spring fever. It really felt like March in the sun.

Had to keep reminding myself it's still winter, and still January. I even had thoughts of pulling the Mustang out, then remembered the salt.

River, I hope you get to feeling better too. I am definitely getting restless and today was the first time i have driven my truck in a week if that tells you anything. Lol

I have these ideas but honestly I'm not supposed to lift, stretch, or exert any more force than is necessary for another week. The old bronco 2 is an 89 with the MPI 2.9 with 140 horses of fury brand new. Needless to say that is not what it has now and the 31" tires do not help but that's why I'm going to give the top end a little help.

I'm looking to try and get these cast iron boat anchors to flow a little better. I'm not trying to go too deep but I do want to get rid of the manufacturing burs that plagued domestic automakers during that period. Well deburring and then gasket matching the heads, lower manifold, and upper manifold. The 86-87 throttle body for the 2.9 is a 58mm unit vs the 50mm that came stock on the 88 and up rigs. If I get really crazy I may even knife edge the blade but I'll just have to decide when I get there.

The aussie fires really are terrible and if were possible to help I would but even if I were in pre op shape I couldnt stop working that long without putting a drain on my savings. I really hate that the fire map everyone is sharing, that uses three different color fire icons, isn't representative of what's actually going on. Honestly I am having a hard time wrapping my head around how many of these fires are the results of arson.

I hope tomorrow finds you better than yesterday River and everyone else for that matter.
