Depending on the definition of "up and comers", I have been listening to this dude for years. He has somehow escaped stardom, because he has so much feeling when he plays.

2100, that amp only put out 120 watt rms at 4 ohms and measured 11.5 x 2 x 6.75. You have only been running that sub at half capacity.

I wish I was that good River. Lol

I had to dig up an old owners manual to get the specifics.

BTW the MTX THUNDER500.1 gets my vote.

Well dang! Thanks for the info. I got it from my coworker who used to do some crazy audio builds... told me it was plenty so I never looked into it.

Guess now I need to get something to fully power my sub... and now do I go down the rabbit hole of "while I'm here" and amp the speakers too?

I threw a stealth edit up top but I think the MTX THUNDER500.1 would do wonders for your sub. If it completely over powers your other speakers then worry about it. Rather than amping my doors I went with infinity reference speakers in my doors with a much higher sensitivity so they will be louder with less power.

If you actually plan to put 300w to the sub, then the answer is, "Yep."

My old-school SoundStream SA-245 runs 35w x 4 + 100w to the sub, but I have the 4-ch side bridged to two channels into 8-ohm speakers, so my setup is really about 50w x 2 + 100w. (I use the head-unit to power the rear speakers. but hardly hear them). The Picasso Nano I referenced is 60w x 4 + 200w. I bet you'll find similar ratios on other 5-channel units.

..

Ak, I have to honestly say that my reg cab with the 5.4 was the most capable truck I have ever owned. I'm loving Reds progression so far.
I love Big D Wiz. Seems like a guy I'd like to hang around.

I finally got my damn TV hung today. The first mount I bought wouldn't work. This one is suspect.... I hate tilting/swing arm mounts, but that's all Wally World had.
