No problem but this thread could best be described as existing for hijacking.

Snow; it's a wonderful thing until it isn't.

Yes, I like it. I just wish it would let me finish a couple things first, LOL.

We had a late spring this year, so I feel Mother Nature owes me an extra month.

No problem. It melts down to the real simple, - yea, you can follow the good book with this one Buck.

5000 miles is max. Blackstone labs has it breaking down from that point. I swapped it out right around 3500 miles for 350,000 miles. That engine is still doing it.

You don't want to use it, or switch to it rather - with high miles, abused or an engine in question. That's due to the additional cleaning action you get with full syn. You take a chance with partially plugging the pickup screen in that situation or worse.

Sticking to the Syn-Blend just works. Also make sure you use a good filter (FL820S). That's really all you need to do with these engines. You can use Motorcraft, Castrol etc afa name brand. I stick with Motorcraft on the filters tho.
Quite honestly, the Walmart Supertech oil and the Amazon Basics is really, really good oil. I've switched it up on my 4 cylinders to using the ST, and it performs really well. I am on about 23,000 miles of Supertech only in the Toyota, and it actually gets another 1 or 2 mpg over the Valvoline I was using. And I am a big Valvoline fan.

I stick to Motorcraft and Castrol in the crankcase. I quit using Mobil once they failed wear rating with their conventional cc mixes, - after the fact. That was over 10 years ago now. Then that bad experience I had with Valvoline gear oil recently...that was just weird (personal bad experience solely). So I won't use those two now.

Strictly Amsoil in the trans, that's stuff is pure magic with these transmissions, really blew my mind....trans fluid specific. It's more priceless than pricey... long term.

Haven't heard a lot about or used Supertech. I haven't been to a Walmart in a coons age lol.

AK, I think, is using the Amazon Basics oil. Pretty much the same stuff - both made by Warren.
