Being in IT support myself, I'm constantly trying to explain things that no one understands. Once I see their eyes gloss over I say something like "The driver for this component was old and geekity, geekity geek now it works fine". I basically use geekity geekity geek like they used yada yada yada on Seinfeld if anybody gets that reference.
Check the housing around the wheel. They can break and will not let it stay where you adjusted it to. You can buy the cable with the wheel still for these rucks
Or do like I did and just buy the piece that brakes.

Our DNS/DHCP server sometimes (when there is a power outage, reboot, etc.) will decide to change the IP address on some end points. So, not all, but some endpoints do not get the new IP address from the DNS server when a reboot occurs. Anyone that knows how DHCP works knows this is always a possibility if it's not set up static, and reserved in the address pool. Anyway.... that's what happened here. I had it mapped to a certain PC's (which had its IP changed on a server reboot) shared folder as drive letter P. However, the host PC does not have a drive letter P that resides on it - so this dude was just baffled as to how I can map to drive P when that PC doesn't have a drive P - kept telling me that I must have mapped it to the wrong PC, LOL.
Finally after he saw it was working, he decided I knew what I was doing, LOL.

Reason: Fixed my garbled up explanation....
Sometimes when gotta P you REALLY gotta P. But seriously can you map it using a UNC path instead of IP Address? You'd never have to worry about the IPs changing again. Geekity geek...
Yes, I do - and 99% of the time that works. However, if the Domain Name Server does not tell the requesting PC that the IP has updated/changed, then it is still going after the old IP that was once associated with that host.
Remapping always fixes it, but trying to explain that to a non-IT person is fun.
I consistently have this issue with networked printers mapped through UNC..... but I am almost all converted to dedicated IP addy's on printers now.
BTW - when this occurs, it is with a UNC on a different subnet - and one of these days I am going to figure out why it's breaking off like that. Just not on my top of the list right now, LOL.

I've been taillight looking for a while, but most won't ship to Alaska free. Most want around 70 to ship.
But I finally prevailed. Been looking at a set of Spyders (I'll reseal before putting them in) that I wanted. I almost gave up, when I remembered that you could long list the products there, and do it by price (l to h). The first item was a set what I wanted for only $21.14 w free shipping. I popped it up and they had 1 set left. I snatched them up. After check out, Amazon warehouse gave me $4.23 (20% disc), so I paid 16.91 for the set. Score, lol.

I'd really like to see a set of those in person, as I think they'd be a nice compliment to my black Harlightning headlights, and blend well with the DSG. I'm just not sure enough to pull the trigger. Of course, for <$20, I would. Nice score!
Hey, guys. I want to put four screws in the lower center panel approximately where the circles are in the pic below.
..
So, after looking behind it as best I could, I got brave with the drill, and put holes in the panel. 3/4" screws won't hit anything but air, and though I swore there'd be metal behind it, I didn't hit any. No matter, four screws should support the mount and detachable head without any problem, though I might put some 3M VHB tape behind the plate as an added measure.
