Well ****, that sucks AK! I was hoping to see you in a Fox Body. But hey, that Lightning sounds intriguing. A little cam change, and those things are pretty happy. Not too sure why Ford put such a meager bumpstick in those things. Also puzzled why they didn't make them roller cams.
Just putting the 5.0 HO cam in that, and (obviously) going roller makes a nice little bump in HP for those.

Sounds like the Fairmont was a definite pass. Too bad. The Lightning sounds interesting, though. I thought they were only red and black in '93 (with white added for '94 and '95). Repainted?
EDIT:
From THIS ARTICLE on Hemmings.com: "The color breakdown is as follows: 2,691 black and 2,585 red trucks in 1993; 1,382 black, 1,165 red and 1,460 white trucks in 1994; and in 1995, Ford built 824 black trucks, 695 in red and 761 in white."

2100 I have to apologize. For some reason I was thinking about a different part. When mine started slipping on my black truck I pulled the cluster to find that the small plastic housing was cracked. I got a couple dabs of crazy glue in there, pressed it tight, and reinstalled. Never had another issue.

Hey, guys. I want to put four screws in the lower center panel approximately where the circles are in the pic below. I know there's metal behind the plastic (which is a good thing), but before I contort myself with a flashlight and inspection mirror trying to see behind it, does anyone know if I'm in any danger of hitting anything vital? Wires, components, etc.? Thanks in advance.

Stay dry Whitey!
Ugh I always run into problems that prolong my truck plans. Got the axle swapped AND THEN learned the 80s axle tube diameter is 3.5" and my new axle is 3"... so my u bolts don't fit. Ordered a set should be here Friday. So truck has to sit outside (gunna rain Thursday great) and it's just sitting on the axle not bolted down. Rear wheels are chocked front and back. I just took out the jack stands but now I think I should've left them lol. Anyway annoyed the truck is getting rained on and truck won't be done till Friday
Also man now my Dana60 looks tiny next to the old one

Ohio.... too lazy to drag my butt out and look, but when I did my blend door, it seems like there was a lot of crap right behind that panel.... like vacuum, IIRC. What are you looking to mount there? My brake controller is just a little left and above the OBD-II port. No much behind there, if you can fit your project there.

I don't expect you (or anyone else) to stand on your head when should do it myself. I'm planning to screw a mount for my amateur radio there.

I just spent 30 minutes trying to explain "why" a mapped network drive on a client PC does not need to be the same drive letter as the host PC. I think he's more confused now.
