Engine Builders talk.
Yea, that's just a waste of cash, nothing to gain. Plenty of air coming in for a close to original build.
Just smooth the flow with a much less turbulent intake tube (if you haven't already) and buzz off the Ford Fly Paper in the throttle body. You'll be golden...
What's the matter with you, get away from those puny TB's, focus on getting blown..you know, chief priority #1.

Jbrew, do you know if the 02 sensors are grounded through the exhaust. I have the pinout for the plug, but none of them say ground on the 4 wires. If I can get my 02's to read right, im ready for the dyno again.
I believe most O2s use the exhaust piping for the ground. I know race cars have to have grounding straps when they start introducing completely new parts such as yours-custom headers, down-pipes, etc
What all can you do to the 5.4 2v's to get more low end/torque. I've already got custom tunes and gears are on the way this fall. I don't want to bump up compression either as I'll be going to a blower in the future
Either comp or trick flow make a towing cam with a supper low rpm operating range. But your engine would probably be out if breath at like 3000 rpm +. After gears and a blower you probably won't be able to keep the tires from spinning off the line with any decent amount of throttle with those cams tho. I'm assuming you are going to 4.56 right? Maybe go to 4.88 instead if you don't do a ton of highway driving. 4.88s would put you at 2300rpm at 70 and 4.56 would put you at 2150ish rpm at 70 so it's not a huge difference in your cruising rpms

They ground through the PCM. O2's = direct PCM ground. I can't recall which ground the PCM uses for the O2's, -since the PCM uses more then one.
If I had guess without looking at a schematic, the ground on the firewall adjacent from the battery would be it.
Just in case tip, - I wouldn't weld on the exhaust (gashed a primary accidentally, sewed it back up) with the O2's connected. I blew the PCM, Auto starter, and the top off coil #4, - completely separated...I've had much better days, - that should of never happened.
EDIT: A little more, to help confirm - O2's also use the same ground the solid state switches inside the PCM uses to ground coils #4, 5, 6, and 8. I lost them all, but luckily it ended at coil #4 which lost it's head lol. My car starter was linked/tied to coil #8, which is why I lost that as well.
So, it should be easy to locate if you need to go that far with it.
Can't wait to see the numbers, - they are going to be impressive!

No of anyone looking for L swap parts ?
But it's suppose to go like this, - L swap, -blow it up. NOW is when you build it..if there's enough left that is.
