I got a stupid deal on my gear install through a friend that wouldn't be repeatable for anyone else but Richmond Gear wanted over $1000 for gear instal with me providing the parts. I laughed as I hung up the phone.

I think Thomas' expectations were a bit unrealistic and he didn't know what he wanted. He was seduced by the idea of it being different and all the talk about it. I think he wanted a blower truck and didn't know it. He thought he could get that from cams and flowing heads and that's just not the case. They feel completely different when you drive them.

If you're really in doubt, go with a blower. I've never met anyone who said, "Man, I really wish I went N/A."

Seen plenty of guys do it with a maunal just no one with an auto yet. I'm sure it's been done. Performance automatic makes an independent trans controller for the 4r70 that should work and with a maunal transfer case 4x4 should still work. I think at least lol

That's true. I just don't know if I want to go boosted or not. The truck will still be my daily driver, so I want the most practical thing that I can still enjoy driving daily. Not saying boost isn't practical or reliable. I like the idea of both 4v and blown 2v, but NA Powe just seems more appealing to me

A manual trans ? That don't sound half bad lol.

Someone on here did that. His name was kaboom or something like that. He's lowered with smaller tires but he's running 4.56s and something different in his trans or torque converter to make up for it. I don't know to much about transmissions tho so I'm not sure

from what I understood, it's just a reduction box that bolts to the t case and adds another gear for reduction. You need a custom rear driveshaft because the t case is longer but I think the front stays the same. It was pretty cool.

Sounds more expensive after you get the reduction box, make new transmission mounts to move it back, and get a custom shaft made. But it does sound cool

if you run into any issues with 4x4 it might be the actuator on the front axle but that's easily fixed by removing the factory actuator and replacing it with either a cable lock type setup or if you somehow managed to put together an electric actuator setup that activated when you shift the tcase that would be pretty cool too.

Right, I think you can buy those, -cable set ups anyway. But the shift motor has to work.
