They send you the tunes through their software (pegasus for evo and fusion for CS and CTS) and you download it from that onto your tuned using the USB cable then you connect it back up to your truck and program it to one of the custom tunes you have.

Make sure your truck is back to stock when you remove the tuner to update it so it can store the stock tune on the tuner when you program it with the custom tunes. I also think once you e downloaded the tunes you should not reconnect it to the software they send you or it could erase your custom tunes.

If its the old edge you don't have to mail it in anymore, Pegasus software they give you will convert it for you..
CS and CTS are converted through fusion once you receive your custom tunes. You need to order the tunes from their website first, wait a while, then hook to fusion to download your tunes...

Yes it is definitely worth custom tuning. The difference over canned is night and day.
I'm running a 87 performance, 89 tow, and 93 performance with fantastic results... My favorite Is the tow tune....
Before you order, if you want to run a CAI or custom exhaust, or a BBK throttle body, then you want to grab these things first so you can factor them into your custom tune order... If you do these things after your first custom tune, then you will need a new custom tune to run them.
Well I have flow master SI DO exhaust, my cai should be on its way and I just got the edge Evo. So I wouldn't have to send it in?

anyone thinking of using php for their custom tunes i would read this entire thread before you decide. i finally got the right tunes today and honestly they are nothing special only thing difference between the canned tow and my 87 performance that i can tell is the firmness of the shifts. certainly not worth a 5-6month wait. if i was to do it over again i would go with SCT.

Nope. Just download Pegasus and order your tunes... When they are ready you will get an email from PHP to hook up to Pegasus. Then your done.

Just got off the phone with Bill... my truck randomly started running slightly rich on my custom 87 performace the other evening after I filled up with gas. It's been fine so far and the fuel econmy has been ridiculously awesome! I first noticed after I filled up that it was now sucking gas like no tomorrow and would sputter a little bit. It would go from about 500 rpms to about 1500 and then drop immediately over and over about 4 or 5 times, it sounded like it was gonna choke down and the throttle would pull a bit on the higher RPM strikes. This only happens every so often when I come to a stop to idle like at a redlight or something and then when I go into reverse, if I go to neutral at a stop it mellows a good bit but still some sputter.

Thankfully Bill is a super nice guy and takes pride in his work so he's going to look into it for me and then reload my tunes into fusion, we figured that probably adjusting the fuel to air ratio should solve the issue but he's going to dig in a little deeper and make sure it's not something else that he might of missed while writing them.

Was your truck surging when at idle? Or when slightly depressing the gas peddle did the rpms surge up and down?

Only at idle after coming to a stop or right after I put it into reverse, this doesn't happen all the time but it does every time when I pull into my driveway and when I go to reverse to back into a parking spot at work or something.

Bill just called again and said that it looks like he didn't account for my CAI so he's getting it all fixed back up and loaded into Fusion and then I should be good to go!

Hello all! This is Angela with PHP. I had a few minutes today to look over this forum (I've heard a lot about it) and wanted to share my contact info for anyone that feels like they've "fallen between the cracks"... angela@phptune.com or the office number of 678-890-1110. I'm in the office Tues-Fri 9-3pm EST (most days) answering phones and I try to answer emails right away.

I know with Corey having so many medical problems the last couple of years and the shifting of responsibilities back and forth between Bill and Corey, a lot of customers have indeed fallen between the cracks and have waited months for their tunes. I can tell you that the expected turn around on gas tunes is 2-3 weeks at most. If you have waited longer than that, please email me and get me your information so I can get your tunes to you.

We are trying very hard to remedy the customer service problems that many of you have experienced and want to hear from anyone that's waiting or frustrated.

Please feel free to email me any time so we can get you taken care of.

Thanks!
Angela
