I got my CS yesterday and after updating and installing in my truck, I cannot run any tunes with the K&N without bad knock/pinging... So I reinstalled my stock intake today and still knock/pinging in level 2 tow but it runs ok on level 1 economy
Going to try filling with 89 and see what happens and call edge on Monday, and waiting on my PHP custom tunes to run my K&N

I ran my custom 93 performance tune today.
It definitely runs a bit different then my custom 89 tow tune. It has a more pep off the line and gets my tires chirping with ease. It's different from the tow tune mostly with shift points and what feels like a stretched out top end. It pulls right through 90mph quickly with a lot of room to spare. The tow tune differed in this respect slightly by pulling hard to 80mph while keeping the timing retarded for more low RPM torque.
Fuel milage seems like it will be better with this tune because the truck rolls nicer by coasting into a higher gear quicker when easing the throttle around. Once you get passed a quarter throttle, especially when applied quickly, it drops a gear swiftly and yanks the truck into my desired direction. When matting (flooring) the throttle the truck simply screams. It shreds the tires up hills from a start and chirps loud on flat land, then pulls away.
I still favor my tow tune for lugging weight however, it just seems more sensitive when nudging the throttle. The truck just stands up off the line with it, and pulled over 1000 lbs of building materials like it wasn't even there. The tow tune does seem more sensitive from 1% throttle to 50% throttle. And the performance tune seems more sensitive from 20% throttle and beyond.
Both tunes feel great and are very well designed for specific circumstances. I haven't tried my 89 performance tune yet, but I just got that for when gas is over $4 a gallon for 87 octane in the future. I will probably try it out after this years presidential election.

So you felt what the tunes are exactly meant to do
I definitely got what was advertised. My milage was climbing today after I relaxed my foot. I ended up giving those gains back after a couple burn outs and a fresh seafoaming through the throttle body....
The edge canned tunes were great when compared to the stock tune. But when you compare canned to a custom tune, custom tunes win hands down.
