i didnt know we could even order an 87 economy

 

well my tuner says 87 economy on it right now. it should say 87 performance if it was a performance tune am i right? or is the performance tune labeled as economy on the tuner?

 

I think on the original gryphons its only performance and towing. The performance was economy when driven right. Maybe now the tuners can have different names. I'd call (if you can get through) and ask what's up with them since it isn't labeled what you ordered.

 

yeah i'm pretty sure they are wrong i ordered performance,performance and tow. i got economy,tow,extreme. i emailed everyone i could think of at PHP and ill try calling tomorrow. this has got to be the worst run company iv even ran across. i hope i dont do any engine mods in the future in which ill need more custom tunes for. should have never sold my SCT

"Sounds like Edge had an update for the dodge portion of the programmer and your tunes got replaced. Send them an email notifying them it failed.

If you are waiting in line, keep the unit up to date so you don't have to keep waiting in line"

just my luck, trying to notify/get a hold of PHP is the whole problem with PHP

 

When did you order your tunes? I'm just trying to figure out when I can expect mine, should be any day now.

 

I just ordered a edge programmer and was thinking about sending it to PHP to get it turned into a grphyon but I'm confused on how to go about ordering one could someone explain it to me please and is it Worth the money to get converted??

 

If yours says economy, tow, and extreme, then I'd be willing to bet those tunes are not custom at all. Those titles sound like edge canned tunes... I would run fusion on the device one more time so you can at least get your F-150 canned tunes back..
Try calling PHP right now... 9:30 AM is a great time to get through to them. Tell them you need your custom tunes double checked with your order number and you need them loaded on to fusion.

 

What edge do you have? The older EVO or the newer CS or CTS?

If its the old edge you don't have to mail it in anymore, Pegasus software they give you will convert it for you..
CS and CTS are converted through fusion once you receive your custom tunes. You need to order the tunes from their website first, wait a while, then hook to fusion to download your tunes...

Yes it is definitely worth custom tuning. The difference over canned is night and day.
I'm running a 87 performance, 89 tow, and 93 performance with fantastic results... My favorite Is the tow tune....
Before you order, if you want to run a CAI or custom exhaust, or a BBK throttle body, then you want to grab these things first so you can factor them into your custom tune order... If you do these things after your first custom tune, then you will need a new custom tune to run them.

 

I emailed Bill from PHP a couple days ago and got an email response the next day.

He said Custom tunes are $60 each if I already have the edge.

I have a question on how that works, do they email the tune to me and I download it to the truck via the extra wire from the Edge programmer? Or do I have to ship the entire programmer to them.

 

Yep email and download through a computer using pegasus that you dl through their website if its en evo for ct and cts they use fusion like the post above says
