how do i reset the ECM?, i just read a thing saying their having trouble with fusion so i guess its a known error it says do not update at this time lol i just have bad timing. angela said they didnt have my serial number and hex code on file which i gave to them when i made the thread on their forum.once i gave her the info my files would be complete. so i gave them to her again, now im just waiting on a reply. now my trucks stuck in stock mode which is pretty lame lol.

 

My understanding is to disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes...
Just heard that through the grapevine though, never tried it myself.

 

If fusion is working again, hook the programmer back up and allow fusion to do its thing. It's likely the last time you updated it corrupted the files on the tuner... There is probably nothing wrong with your truck. Fusion will repair the device when you run it... This is a common issue with fusion sometimes screwing up. But if you let fusion run again it will repair the device. It happened to me twice already...

 

iv hooked it back up to fusion already and it just says there are no updates and then automatically closes?

 

how do u like the custom tunes compared to running the tow tune? i think we pretty much ordered the same tunes.

 

They definitely make a difference I have tried both my 87 Performance and Tow so far, with gas prices the way they are right now I can't let myself cough up the dough for premium but hopefully that'll change in a few months...

 

Automatically closes? That doesn't seem right. Sounds like there certainly is an issue with fusion. If everything is working properly with fusion on edges side, then I would uninstall and reinstall fusion on your PC. The best bet would be to get on the phone with edge and have them walk you through you issue. I had 2 edge CS units flat out die on me and the second won ate my stock tune.. Edge had to retrieve my tune and ship me a new programmer twice before I stopped having issues.

I've got a custom 89 tow tune from PHP and it is great! It's a night and day difference over the canned tow tune, with more power and more torque off idle then the canned TOW tune. The truck pulls hard and shifts firm yet smooth with it. I've got a 93 performance and an 87 performance tune as well, but the 89 tow tune is by far my tune of choice for daily driving and better MPG's... I also have my 2 rear cats deleted and a magnaflow SI/DO muffler, and a volant CAI with my own custom scoop... The volant doesn't drone as loud with the custom tow tune but sounds meaner when stomping the pedal.. My exhaust note also changed to a bit more of an aggressive sound too.
Check back a couple pages on this thread, I gave a pretty good description of how my custom tow and perfornance tunes feel versus canned tunes.

 

well i called edge today and it seemed like they havent heard too much about this problem. they made me a file to download through fusion and that fixed my fuel type does not match device error

Angela also e-mailed me back, "I’ve sent the order to Cody and you should see your tunes soon. If you don’t hear back from Cody, let me know and I’ll look into it further."

i wonder if i should expect them today or what? if they are in fusion when i hook the tuner up will the tunes show up on fusion?

 

If they are there then fusion will run its course then stop... After you run fusion shut the program down and then disconnect then reconnect your device... If you got your tunes you will see the PHP splash screen while the device is loading....

 

well i finally got my tunes today and they werent even my tunes!!. i ordered 87p,87t and 91p, bill sent me 87economy 87tow and 91+ extreme. it took so long to get these tunes that i ran the econmy tune before i even clued in that they were wrong. i think these might even be for a dodge wtf?
