How big was the pipe you bought? Same size coupler and hose clamps I assume?

 

I wonder when they did that, mine is still a big bulging thing at fender

 

does anyone have a picture of the removal of the intake silencer on the 2004+ I have only seen 2003 and under silencer removal. Heard lots about it but not much pics or other info. I think im going to try and tackle it myself but just thought id ask first. Oh yeah forgot to add I have a 5.4L

What are your thoughts on the mod before and after? I am considering doing this in the next couple of days...

 

Throttle response is a little better since she can breath now but I'm not getting the full potential since I don't have a tuner, yet.

 

Was wondering the same thing but I have a 4.6L. Hope someone has some pics or info on this. Must not be that big of deal since noone has said much about it. Thanks

i just wanted to thank you for putting together such a detailed how-to for this mod. the original didnt have as many pictures to clarify as yours does. i just did this mod and found this thread extremely helpful thanks again

 

I have an 04 with a 5.4 and did the Gotts and it does a lot of whistling now at certain rpm levels. Is this normal?
