Talking

After taking a ride to the store last night, and the 20 mile drive to work this morning, it seems like I do have more throttle response. Now I've only had my truck for about 2 weeks and the previous owner could have had a CAI that he took off and the computer didn't get reset, but it seems more powerful now. After reading this thread the other day I figured this mod would go great with my flowmaster dual exhaust. I like it so far.

That's good to hear, now how do you do this mod when you have the big air filter round casing so close to the fender like mine, I seen some pictures from the guys that have done it but it doesn't looks like my truck, I have the 4.6 Romeo engine, can this be done on this engine? by the way where can you get the flowmaster muffler? I am going to the state next weekend I wonder if I just go to any autoparts store do they carry in stock? Thanks guys.

Search the forum or f150online.com there's a write up on your engine on both sites. Parts stores usually keep them. You'll need a center in to offset out and a piece of patch pipe. It's all 2.5in stock and some clamps to hold it together

Default good news

Well i have been reading alot about this so i decided to give this a try. I recently took a trip to Orlando Florida from Louisville Kentucky. I left the factory tube in on the way down and changed to the gotts on the way back. What i found out is this on the way down (stock) 14.3 mpg running cruise at 80 and on the way back 17.8 mpg cruise at 80. Great right well also wanted to see what local mpg would be, 13.4 mpg (stock) and 15.8 (gotts). All I can say is it works and thanks to all here for such a easy and great mod.

First tank with gotts mod was 17.5. Thats a 1.5 mpg increase. I like it.

Great to hear. Planning on trying out the gotts as soon as my struts are replaced. What year/trim is your f150? any additional mods or aftermarket apps? Really hoping to see some positive results.
