Just realized diode dynamics is about 20 min away from my house. Wish they were hiring. Lol

If I am not mistaken, the lens housings for factory HID bulbs are somehow different than the standard halogen lamps. I'd wait for others to chime in before switching over if your truck came with HIDs. I can only attest that the LED swap works flawlessly with trucks that have the original halogen light housings.

I could be wrong, but for certain, wait for others to chime in with their experiences before doing a swap.

Absolutely. I have only put these in my cargo (bed) lights so far, and they were brighter than what I used to have in there. They filled out the entire reflectors in that lamp fixture.

Tomorrow, I will be getting another couple pairs of them, and I will take pictures of them compared to what people already were blown away by - I think they will be even brighter in the reverse lights than what I have there now.

So, if you don't mind waiting another day, I'll have these in the reverse lights, and will be able to take pics to show the difference. Either ones that I've put in the cargo lights are worlds better than the factory, and for this generation of truck, the same base works for either.

Stay tuned!

Come visit us anytime! We always enjoy giving tours to forum members. We are also having a big open house / car show on October 7th.

We will likely be hiring again at some point this fall!

Thanks,
Nick C.

Which is going up for sale, with 44K Original miles on the clock, but those HID have to warm up before they are super bright.

Anyway, thank you again for the great tip, I hope to get a better light output from the OEM HID projectors already on my truck, seems those same bulbs can be had for allot less here, if they are not counterfeit.

https://www.amazon.com/Osram-66340CB.../dp/B00O7PZK9U

I'd tried lightly with the bulbs on Amazon. 4 total reviews, and one says they're counterfeit.. Not a great ratio. To me it's not worth saving a instant $60, just to find out they're fake and get burned.

Just to recap here. OEM hid headlights are completely different than halogen, and as a result you can't just drop a led kit in them. They use a D3S bulb, and the only logical upgrade currently on the market is a OSRAM cbi. If somebody took their projectors out and replaced them with better ones say evoxr's or Fxr's that require d2s bulbs and ballasts you could open up some other possibilities. But I'm not tearing apart my headlights, and I'm impressed with my CBI's.

I just have the factory Halogen H13, I have already replaced the bulbs with PIAA with marginal improvement for the $$$

What are you using for reverse lights was the subject yet when I saw some others talking about heads, bed lights and so on, I prob didn't help by derailing the original subject matte as well.
