That is the one I do know about was wondering if there might be some thing better out there that has a good seal around the sides or does every one have to silicone them in and go through that every time they change a bulb .
Thanks very much for That
Yes, another **** poor design IMO
Every one I have ever had out, had signs of a water leak
I use some clear silicone sealer
or
Uncured windshield butyl rubber rope to seal them
This stuff you can take 1 inch and make it 10 inches long the diameter of a BB
Then wrap the lamp and install it
It will never leak, and you can reuse the butyl next time

Dum dum is slang for the modeling clay rope stuff with the string in it used for squeaks and rattles. I first saw it used on dash screws in old Lincolns. Its real similar to plumbers putty."]https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f150forum.com-vbulletin/2000x1124/butyl_rubber_cord_172820c5e9184b155fb2773ba7e87fc4 6cf9ca01.jpg[/img] This and dum dum is in most NVH mechanics toolboxes. Well I just got the one from Bronco Graveyard and it has large gaps down sides compared to original I am going to look into the uncured windshield Butyl rubber rope
