Axle wrap is completely different than having our truck's engines go into limp mode due to excessive condensation in the IC. Ford can't just try to sweep this under the rug. First person that gets killed because their truck dies in front of a semi....well Ford surely doesn't want to pay for that lawsuit.

Is 12-2-12 a new TSB? Is it different from 12-2-10?

I called my dealership today about a follow up appt for my low rpm / light load "misfire" sensation. The service dept told me that there is no fix available yet and refused to make an appt. This concerned me because I NEED 3 attemped fixes before I can claim lemon law. If they refuse to look at my truck, I can't obtain those 3 attempts.

Anyway, I called Ford customer service and the opened a case for my problem. Shortly after that, the dealership called me back and wants me to bring the truck in this afternoon. They mentioned something about getting me into a 2012 which doesn't have the problem. I am not sure if they are gonna offer me an even trade or what their intentions are. I will update this after my meeting this afternoon. Ford obviously contacted them. I am wondering if Ford told them to make a deal with me or if they are just doing it on their own.

That sounds interesting!!! Check and see if the Intercooler has any signs of change on the 2012. Also keep us posted as to the outcome.

I just got back from my dealership and finally talked them in doing the 12-2-10 tsb to my truck next Monday. I had to call in the owner to get the service manager to do it.

My gas mileage around town is between 9.5 and 10.5 but doesn't seem to run bad does anyone out there think this will improve with the tsb?

Just curious...how often are you resetting your mpg and trip meters, and what kinds of distances are you driving to get 9.5-10 mpg?

This mileage is strictly in town, 4 to 8 miles a day as I am working 12 hours on night shift. I have reset it once because after 2 weeks at 10.2 I reset it because of the warmer temperatures. This did not make a difference and this is with 1700 miles on the truck. I know its not really broken in yet but many seem to get decent mileage from the start. I will give Ford a few months to resolve the issues and if it ever bucks and snorts when I go to AL in a few weeks it will be gone.

Doing only short trips like that are what's killing your gas mileage. It's barely able to get the engine and transmission warmed up. When you take it on a longer trip of 30+ miles I'll bet your mpg's for that trip will be drastically higher.
