Thanks for posting that from Oasis. I'll add it to my documentation.

A brief overview of how the Lemon Law process will likely go for anyone pursuing it.

After you and your attorney go over all of your paperwork to make sure you qualify for your state's specific requirements they will send a "demand" letter to Ford putting them on official notice of the intent to file a lemon law suit. Likely your lawyer will also note in that letter that they will be filing under a second law that deals with warranty. (forget the name of the law).

Ford will probably take 4-5 weeks to research your vehicles history and respond. From that point there are several ways it could proceed.

Yes I'm in the beginning stages of the process myself. It would be different if I didn't believe they were just trying to stall everyone until their time/mileage runs out...

On top of all the problems I have had up until now, since the TSB was performed I am having trouble with my Sync as well.

Then the other day, I couldn't get my truck to come back out of 4x4 mode. It took me 15 minutes of rolling forward and backing up, etc to get it disengage. I'm not so sure that it hasn't been hanging/grinding at different times on its own over the few months that I've had the truck.

Overall, I have had my truck in the shop at least once every month that I've had it and more than once in a couple of those months...

The worst part for me is the constant lying. Even though the TSB, and Oasis information indicates that they know about the issues, the dealerships are still "unable to duplicate" or "known characteristic" for many out there. That isn't what I expect from Ford or what I'm willing to continue dealing with.

Default Throwing in the towel!

Well, I've got to say I've fought to defend my choice of owning nothing but Ford vehicles for over 25 years and to great success managed to convert many friends and family members to the Blue Oval. However, the issues I've had with my 11 F150 FX4 Eco screw are unacceptable! My best friend, or used to be now, is the service manager at the dealership that has worked on this turd of a truck on several occasions. He has done everything Ford has come up with to band-aid their **** poor engineering and development of the F150 to no avail.
I am in Cleveland, OH with family for a long weekend and on the way here today, on top of bucking, hesitating, and shuddering as usual, I had the truck fall flat on it's face pulling away from three separate toll booths on the OH Turnpike! I had to completely let out and ease back into it slowly to get back to 70. No TCS kick in or MIL on, just fell on it's face like the fuel shut off at 4700 rpm and would not pick up until I completely let out! This truck has quickly become the biggest POS I have ever owned! It has 23k miles now, so no way of getting it through as a lemon, but I am dumping it next week before word gets out and the values of the Ecoboost completely tank. I've never owned, nor had the desire to even look at a Dodge or GM product, but Ford has left me no other choice! Probably gonna go to a 3/4 ton diesel.

You are all a great group of enthusiasts here and hopefully those of you who stick with your Eco's will eventually get the support you deserve from Ford. Wish you all the best of luck.

Thank goodness you and your family were not hurt! I am currently also looking at other vehicles. I am about ready to pull the trigger on a 1500 Dodge Ram. Went the GM route last time and got burned with the oil consumption issue. ("07" Avalanche 5.3 Variable cyclinder Engine) I don't believe GM has fixed the problem yet with the 5.3 which is also used in the Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, & Suburban. Just google it.... I went through hell with that vehicle and now this one. My friend just bought a 2012 Ram and we road up to Lake Erie in it. I have never owned a Dodge but will say that the ride is better then the Ford and the interior is nicer then my XLT. He has a Big Horn. Dodge has also improved the Hemi in regards to gas milage as he got 22 MPG going over to Columbus,Oh. Nothing over 70 he said. He even took a picture as I had my doubts. If I go Dodge and get burned again I will never buy another domestic vehicle..........! Once again I am glad you are safe as this is a "MAJOR SAFTEY ISSUE" Ford..............!

Maybe, maybe not. My F150 has always been very consistant, city mileage warm or cold, short or long trips are within 1 mpgs and same with highway. I thought the same thing, but when I started to keep track it was the same mileage. One thing I did notice is this ecoboost dumps alot of fuel into itself on start up. Or so says the lie-o-meter fuel useage.

BTW the TSB did nothing for mpgs in my experience, still at 11-14mpgs warm or cold, but the shudder has been noticably less. Not GONE, but less.

Also as a side note, I have not had any increase in mpgs with the increase in day to day temprature as other have.

I guarantee you that if you take two trips, one only 5 miles and the other 30+ and reset your trip meter at startup on both trips, the longer trip will have better mpg's shown at the end of the drive. At least in any real world driving this will be the case. If both trips are in stop and go traffic the entire duration af each then yeah it's not going to be much difference...you're gonna have crappy mpg's regardless. But being able to drive normally with just a few stop lights/signs....you're going to get better mpg's on a longer trip because everything has a chance to warm up and getting more periods of being at speed ups the numbers more and more.

Just curious, how much do you have to pay a lawyer if forced to go lemon law?

Anyone with personal experience? You can PM if you don't want it public . . .

The lemon law in Ohio contains a fee shifting provision that moves the fees to Ford. I just made sure that if I lose then the attorney eats the costs not me.

The only time that I'd have to pay anything is if we use the warranty laws, then they get a portion of the settlement. If no settlement then the attorney still eats the fees.

Here in N.C. it's a flat fee based service. The attorney gets paid a flat fee from Ford. Even if you have a monetary settlement or reimbursement of payments. If you lose the lawyer eats the cost. It's their job to know whether you have a case or not.

Received a call from my district Ford rep this afternoon, Rachael. She confirmed the problem and the fact that multiple other F150 EcoBoost owners are experiencing the same problem. She confirmed that a TSB is coming out to address the problem in early summer. I did my very best to be nice to her, but it was difficult not to question how or why something that they know is going to be released is going to take that long.

Anyway, my case is opened I am on a waiting list. Part of me feels like I am slowly being pushed to the lemon law time limit, but I am being optimistic about the whole thing and gonna play their game.

As of right now, I have one attempted repair and the dealership service dept (with Ford backing the decision) is refusing to look at or make a 2nd attempt to solve my problem. Does a refusal to fix a problem count as an attempt? Should I get that refusal in writing? Good questions for a lawyer.
