Is this neutral misfire profile correction something that they reset on your truck in mode 6 on the software, and then it corrected the 50-60 miss? All of the wording can get confusing when ford says what it does. Hopefully they come up with something before I take it in. Only other problem i'm having is the bump stop.

I have a 2011 5.0 stx. Is this transmission problem widespread. Coming from always driving a manual. The 6speed seems like it shifts a lot. It seems like when it shifts into third or fourth around thirty miles an hour it is around 1700 then goes down to 1500 then back up to 1700 for thirty seconds and then shifts again. Is that normal it feels smooth. Truck is going
In for the first time to have remote start put in should I ask ford for a read out of the computer. Is there any updates for these trucks. I work in the marine industry and outboard boat motors always have updates.

Good to know, I was thinking of a "shuddering" as more of "grinding" kind of noise/sensation? I thought I had seen this type of problem on the 6.5ft trucks?

Glad to know that I am having this as a problem as well, I think?? Hope y'all can find a solution for us all, good luck.

So after further googling I found the attached pdf explaining more about misfires and the "Misfire Neutral Profile Correction".

P0315 Description: The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal is monitored by the Engine Control Module (ECM) for errors. The P0315 code is set when ECM is unable to learn and correct for mechanical inaccuracies in crankshaft pulse wheel tooth spacing.

Let's see what Ford says now! FYI, the truck is still running great and I still have no shudder....

I am not a very technical guy, but what I get from this and your attachment is Ford basically forgot to do this at the factory?

Thats what I was getting at also. I googled it and looks like they forgot to do this on a lot of 5.0 mustangs. Anyone know if the eco has the same thing?

My truck has only this problem and I sure hope this is the fix we've all been looking for. I'm going to continue to monitor this thread for a while before I take mine in and "inform them" of the fix. I sure do appreciate your diligence in this matter Bob_Mac.
